Buyout. For the 100th time. Florida has to pay 12 million to get Mullen fired. 6 million now and 6 million over the next six years.
I want to see the contract language where it’s cheaper to fire Lispy at the end of the year vs as opposed to say after the FSU game. I doubt there is much of a difference but who knows Blake negotiated it so anything is possible.

Regardless of other schools, that is the only hope that our school may be bringing in a serious/real AD.

A real school would allow the new AD to have that power, even if it is obvious. You let your new AD hire and fire as they please. You allow your AD to make those decisions.

I have a feeling that is the first thing the AD will do, after having some bullchit meeting with Manny, is to move on from this failure.

I don't really care if the guy is a fat slob, as long as he hires the right people and gets out of the way.

If it's Tony, great. Just hire Mario or Lane and you're OK with me.
Sounds like Zo would be the main influencer in that decision for football though, if it is Tony.

Anyone who thinks there isn't room for a strong AD, Zo, and a top coach needs to take a knee. It's all about defined roles. Top execs WANT strong, capable leaders under them.
This is what I've been thinking all along. If anything, assuming things go well, it would make them look better and more powerful not the opposite.

His buyout drops something like $2.5M at the conclusion of the regular season. They're being diplomatic while saving a few mil. Doesn't mean they haven't been reaching out to potential HC candidates all along to get a pulse on who's interested so they can move e quickly at the end of the season when Manny is fired. I have no problem with that.

Plus, the AD axe has to drop first and it sounds like that's happening sooner than later. Blake was fired a week ago. If they announce a new AD this week, it's safe to say they've been talking to candidates for some time now before Blake's firing was made public. Chances are they're taking the same approach with Manny.

LSU obviously gave zero-***** about O's buyout, they just wanted him gone. Mullets buyout was $12M whether they fired him yesterday or next season, no reason to wait. And again neither of those schools fired their AD.
