OP is correct if he clarifies the statement as an every year analysis. SEC has absolutely been the best conference since the big SEC run began. ACC was absolutely garbage as a whole this year. The problem is SEC nut huggers can't understand that there have been some down years for the SEC and up years for the ACC. About 4-5 years ago, there was a period where the ACC was actually pretty good, but with exception for FSU and Clemson, everyone else was just good, but not real contenders. On the other hand the SEC only had Alabama as a real contender and then a bunch of crap teams that relied on SEC hype. People gobbling the SEC up couldn't see that it was just bama and noone else and couldn't see that the ACC was actually solid, putting in 10-11 bowl teams. The media and dumbasses continue to drive the point that the SEC is better, even when they aren't.

NC state lost to a&m by 6 touchdowns

And they were actually one the best teams in acc in 18

Bullchit. I've lived 120 miles from UTK for 35 years. They've sucked since Tee won their last natty in '98. Couldn't win it all with arguably one of the best QB's ever to strap them on - Manning. Even when they were half-way decent with Fat Phil (that's what UTK fans called him), they still couldn't hold the jock strap of most in the SEC.
To top it off, they claim to have 6 Natty's - 3 in the 30's before the advent of the polls and shared with several other teams, 1 in the 40's that was not unanimous, 1 in the 50's with Johnny Majors that wasn't unanimous, and the 1 in '98.

I've had to listen to their fans whine, *****, and moan for a long time. I despise UTK almost as much as the gayturds. Rant over!

Is that the same South Carolina team that lost to UVA 28-0? That's the second ACC team to blow out a SEC team in bowl games...

While I don't get the conference love on any level the SEC had 5 teams win 10 games or more, the ACC had 2. The ACC is Clemson then a lot of outhouse water after it.

I’m no FSU fan and I realize FSU is currently down but they did win the title 6 years ago. B1G has had nobody win it in forever besides OSU.

This beastly team of the highest magnitude from the best conference ever...got beaten like a kid from Corch Dabo

Who the **** is good in that conference? OSU and.........i guess Wisky because they get us in Bowl Games?

I believe that is the point being made though. This statement is not singularly tied to this season only, but across many seasons over the last decade. There were about 3-4 seasons where Alabama really was the only legitimate contender in the SEC with many other being garbage, but the SEC hype train didn't end and SEC fanboys would try to have me believe the SEC was dominating everyone.

8 teams in the SEC with 9 wins means SEC teams are just amazing and beat each other up. 8 teams in any other conference with 9 wins means the conference sucks. That's the issue. SEC will get credit as a great conference and get extra attention with ok results. Other conferences would not with the same result.
