ACC Refs at it again...

ACC refs take away a TD from us last week and give UNC a TD against us this week, obviously we shouldn't be letting games come down to plays like this but the bottom line is those games very well could have fringed on those plays, the ACC ref are horrible and they might have cost us some wins. These past two weeks on top of last years Duke game, where obviously they missed some calls on our return to win, but that was only after they gave Duke a free first down on a free PI call, and then a free TD when dude never crossed the plane, that's three horrible calls in less then three minutes. I mean I have legit never seen officiating this bad in my life, they need to clean house, these guys have replays, and people not on the field helping review the plays, there are ZERO excuses for this. If I were Richt I would be exposing the ACC officiating crew to the media.

Worse was our defensive line getting HELD all game. There was one play i remember our guys were drug to the ground WWE style. No flag.

One thing I will say about that game is, other than the missed call on the TD which was clearly being bobbled, the refs called a consistent game both ways. I don't think the replay booth had the angle that is going around now showing the bobble. Not sure why. .. But after rewatching the game they were not calling anything! And it went both ways. They let them play and it is a shame they missed the TD call which was huge. **** we only had 4 penalties called on us. When was the last time that happened.

Miami needs to leave this **** conference already.

Where shall we go?

The B1G just took two **** teams. Maybe they would take another.

Not sure if you are serious but could you imagine Miami playing in Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa and Ohio on a regular basis. That would be really ugly. We are not built for the midwest Winters. Pretty sure would not succeed up there.

I was making a sarcastic joke. They DID take Maryland and Rutgers. Those 2 are as big a pile of steaming garbage as we are. We're not going anywhere obviously. Our only choice would be to go back to being an independent. No decent conference wants us.

On a pass play in the 4th quarter big Norton broke through clean, and an OL horse collared him right in front of the official. No hold called.

What were the review officials doing during this play? Browsing through the chonga thread in the WestEndZone??

Seriously, they need to held accountable for this blatantly missed call. There was no grey area here like the past targeting (or even the Duke play last year). I still can't believe the ACC had the audacity to issue a letter last year after the Duke game admitting they didn't handle the call right. They will likely just sweep this UNC "catch" under the rug like it never happened.

AGREED

the refs (ACC) do have a vendetta against miami. I cant remember how many times they held/tackle Miami's dline in both UNC and FSU games. Not to mention the facemask that everyone saw from the stands but the two refs 10 yrds away didnt catch. its bull****. Same thing happened last year when miami went up to the carolinas to play. record breaking flags on miami and nothing for the opposing team. As the taunted us. the refs are garbage in the ACC.

Im sorry but that was a TD catch.

Lol, what?

the experts, play by play, refs, and review officials all stated that it was a TD. NO WAY they were wrong

All of them were wrong, he bobbled the ball and didn't catch it cleanly until he was on his *** out of bounds. These refs you're talking about let us get held **** near every play and call phantom holds on us that take away touchdowns. You're wrong, get over it.

our dl is not gonna get the benefit of the doubt vs teams when it comes to holding

We should make a highlight tape of all the missed calls and start posting it all over the place.

It's been stated many times in the past that UM already sends a tape to the ACC office after all games highlighting the officiating. The ACC has never responded ... except of course after last year's Duke game.

Is it fair, no. But we just have to accept it. It's how the ACC does business. Either that or trounce them so bad it a non-issue.
