In for the ACCCG? Unless Duke picks up another loss, wouldn't this scenario just end in Manny vs. Rhett, Electric Boogaloo? SMU would have two ACC losses (like us), but have one over on us in the head-to-head.

No. Even if they beat Pitt, we have a chance. None of this is a GOOD chance, we all know the odds are long. But GT can beat Pitt. We’d just need UVA and Duke to lose a game, which obviously they can, and we’d need SMU to lose their last 2, which obviously they can.

Yes, we’re all massive Pitt fans this week and next week. Zero doubt. But we’re not eliminated if GT wins. Now, if GT and SMU win next week, it’s a wrap.

But let’s go play a good game tomorrow, win by a couple scores, and see how it shakes out.

We can twist ourselves into pretzels next week. This is all moot for now because not much else critical is going to happen this week for the ACC tomorrow.

We just need to win, obviously. GT isn’t losing to BC so that’s irrelevant. I suppose root for Duke because they have 3 games left and UVA only has 2. More games = more chances to lose. But we need both those teams to lose a game, and one of them will tomorrow. I think ideally it’s UVA. The rest of this keeps getting sorted out next week.

Man, the more I look at that ACC predictor model the more I realize it's impossible to root for any game as if you know if that will be good or not. Because there's likely to be more than 2 teams in a tiebreaker, and because that tiebreaker is opponent win percentage, you don't know who you want to be tied with.

Look at this scenario, which is completely reasonable, and the extreme outcome based on only changing the final week's Syracuse v BC game:
