Not sure Ive ever been so "blah" after a win. Maybe when Al Folden had to squeak out a win vs WF @ home a few years back.
With Phillips, he has to switch it up some time. Love the effort, but slanting inside and spinning back outside was picked up by yours truly with an 8th grade producer manning the camera angles last night. Im quite certain UVA saw it too.
I was glad to see Steed get in and make some plays, but him getting completely lost on the 4th down run was hard to watch. Their QB ran right by him and Steed had no clue he had the ball
On the 3rd down and 11 play the WR/QB simply ran to the first down marker and stopped. That is 8th grade stuff and Ivey just kept retreating thinking the QB was going to go deep. What sucks is I wouldnt be shocked if this is what they are told to do. I spoke with a former players parent who said the DBs did exactly what they were coached to do on 4th and 17 vs UNC last year.
Getting pretty sick of Al Blades running his mouth and not playing football. He is lucky that WR dropped that catch in his chest last night, and Blades wants to run up and run his mouth like he did something. Then to be completely lost and give up that late TD and be so nonchalant about it with Hall? Nauseating. I'll tip my cap to Frierson since he is backing it up, but they got a stop on 3rd down last night and he started yapping his mouth instead of getting ready for the 4th down play. They converted it since we werent prepared.
Nobody saying too much of it but Zion played decent last night. Campbell got embarrassed last week and Zion came in and played decent.
As much of a d-bag as Hasselback was last night, he had a good point on Mallory on that ball in the end zone. He has to stop his momentum and come back to the ball to get the PI instead of falling down and trying to make a play. Same goes for Wiggins. We got lucky to get that PI call.
