A True Cane

Will for ever be first starting UM QB to lead his team to the Coastal Division. That will never be taken away from him.

We should consider using Malik in a goal line package. At this point he is better at designed qb runs and the more physical runner.

Can't Blame Kaaya for losing to FSU!!! Golden was the worst Coach at making Halftime adjustments. We were in both games under Golden going into halftime and didn't do anything in the 2nd half. In 2015 we had 19 rushes for net 20 yds., and we still had chances to win that game.
Can't blame Kaaya for the missed PAT in 2016 to take it to Overtime?

He beat FSU. He will always be a legend for that. Can't say the same about his predecessor...

I won't ever speak ill of this kid.

I don’t think Rosier was ever comfortable being “the guy”. He probably never expected to be.

Some guys don’t have that characteristic but it certainly doesn’t mean they don’t have an important role here.

Seeing that ***** from Clemson act that way really drove this point home

Good to hear about someone putting the team first. Having the attitude he is showing is not easy. Respect

I know he doesn't have any eligibility left after this year but at least he didn't ***** out like Kelly Bryant. He's being a good teammate and knows he's one play from going in.

He's leaving the UM with a Masters degree and came in as an unheralded baseball player.

Nothing but W's there.

If I was him, I would write "orchestrated a last minute win at Florida State" under awards and accomplishments.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. I don't think Malik Rosier signed with Miami with the expectation of ever being a starting quarterback. Major program, solid education, chance to play baseball, live for free in Miami. That's all pretty alluring. I'm sure he's seen the writing on the wall from the moment they signed Perry. He's a good teammate.

Ummmm..that's not the same. KBryant got phucked. Period. Lawrence wasn't that much better then him. And he wasn't throwing games away either like Malik was for us to warrant losing his starting spot. (I was a Malik apologist all offseason and up until the LSU game. Jumped off the bandwagon after that).. Two totally different circumstances. Bryant should have transferred.

Malik took the FSU monkey off our back and won big time games in an era where we didn't know what winning big time games was.

He will forever have a seat at the legend's table.

With that said, his actions as a backup speak more loudly than his actions as a starter ever could. Wish the kid nothing but the best, but it's KOSI time.
This is fact. He did stuff no QB had done since Berlin basically. Beat FSU and had 2 amazing comebacks in the last seconds. Straight fire when it matter when the team was learning to win. To take it the next level we needed more talent and Perry is that. But nothing but love for this kid.

Huh? He didn't get screwed LOL. I can see why Bryant was mad sure as Clemson brought in a vastly more talented guy but that is the coaches job. Bryant should of at least played out the season . He ***** *** quit on his team. after the season whatever but dont quit on your team.

Not a bad idea.
I was thinking Malik will help us win a game down the line.
Maybe this is how.

I know this is a Rosier appreciation thread but stop with porsters claiming they never got the rosier hate

Dude lost Pitt,, Clemson, Wisky, and LSU games with 3 of those being almost solely because of his inability to just put the ball in the playmakers hands and be a game manager at minimum. Not to mention keeping us in games we should have blown out inferior teams by...

I will always remember Rosier fondly for beating FSU, ND, VT and getting us a coastal division and if I ever meet him out and about I will shake his hand thank him and honestly ask for a picture as he did do some special things but the magic wore off and it was time to move on

His Pitt game comments really irked the **** out of me but taking everything into consideration it’s been a really successful career for him.

I mean 20 years from now people are going to look at our record holders, knowing the people that played here, and may still see his name on top for TDs in a season. As well as breaking our 10 win ineptitude.

Thanks for posting that, Tad. Rosier will always be a Canes legend snapping that sickening streak by leading two game-winning drives and taunting the putrid hillbillies in the process. Elephantitic ********s!

And now to hear this just adds to his status. I’m hoping he’ll get a rousing ovation at Senior Day, but I’m guessing our fans are too stupid and low-life to do the right thing.

I still think he’ll have another heroic moment or two in relief this year.

Nobody has ever doubted the kid as a person,he’s a good kid. But we aren’t talking about him marrying my daughter ( I don’t have). We just didn’t want him starting as our qb.

No doubt he’ll be a success in life and it’s no doubt us fans can be absolute pricks. And take this stuff way too serious.

He’s a cane , always will be.

Well said.
Some porsters, in a post like the third one above yours, blame him and him alone for the 3 game losing streak at the end of the season disregarding the fact that he had no weapons to help him after losing his starting RB, TD and his go to WR. Yes he could have played better in those games but to put all the blame on him is typical stupid fan mentality.
