Moser had a big time TD catch vs UCLA in 98 if I remember correctly. Pop is a coach now.
 
I mean as a TE3, it's whatever tbh. Hope he wouldn't see as much usage as even McCormick. I could see him and Nickel splitting some TE3 duties. He's got the size, and the two young freshman likely won't be ready to go the first 4 weeks which involve ND and UF. I imagine by the end of the year that they should have TE3+TE4 spots more locked down (though will want to RS them anyways). Wonder if Carver does anything...

Ehhh, I don’t know if I would call it “made some plays.” He did his job most of the time he was out there, which was better than most of us expected. Made it seem like he was making plays, because the rest of our linebackers were that horrendous.

Finished his career with 3 less TFLs and same sack total as Willie Williams.

That may be true, but he wouldn’t have sniffed the field if he played the same time frame as Wille Williams. Maybe a blowout.

It’s not like Ragone was some bad a$$ walk-on. He got playing time because the rest of our linebackers stunk. Speaks volumes about our linebacker recruiting during the Richt and Diaz era.

Jeff Popovitch, he was a great special teams player, he also was a pretty solid contributor at safety and got some pretty decent playing time in nickel or dime packages and I’m pretty sure he was the holder for Sievers.
 
Butch had to be creative during the probation years. popovich was a true walk on whereas Santana Moss came in under a track scholarship iirc. Similarly, Kenny Kelly came in on a baseball Scholarship, got drafted by MLB, then paid his own way. Again, going off memory. Their were a couple other creative scholarships by Butch during that timeframe.

I believe Carlos Huerta was a walkon initially and probably the GOAT at kicker until Boregalas.
