These are the facts of the game now. That’s why I laugh when people say we should get our quarterback back from high school and develop him. Lol Not these days.

Why?
First, your comment assumes Mendoza wanted to come here. Did Mario actually turn him down? Or did you make that up? Secondly, did you actually watch him play last year? He was a game manager; not elite. Far too many people are making claims like you did and it’s nothing more than playing the result.

Checks Miami record of high school QBs for last 20 years.. Posted elsewhere but fits here..

Oh no We miss out on Judd the Studd, Emory The Gaww, future HOF Jack Allison, TVD, Mr. **** yo ***** Nkosi Perry. Where will we be with out Peyton Matocha, Jarren Williams, Malik Rosier, Kaaya, Evan Sherieeff, Japicky and stephen Morris, etc..

What QB are you afraid of missing out on in last 20 years?! That have left an actual mark in cfb lore? Kirby Freeman? Like ask yourself, what the **** are we even talking about right now, really go down the list..

Yeah I’m seeing a lot of that. I was very anti Mendoza as he was literally a game manager last season and was not impressed by him at all.

With that being said, I’m happy for the kid. He went to the best possible scenario for his skill set.

Everyone is playing the result now and bumping posts

@DMoney and others have made this point very consistently...

Why roll the dice on "dead money" 4*/5* HS QB when you can spend same money on QB1 via transfer portal that has a track record body of work against college level competition?

I think the choice is clear from a resourcing perspective.
