What does that tell you when a kid would rather go to a situation that is obviously less ideal for him than come here?

maybe he is not concerned about the current QB's on either roster, maybe he wants to play with francois

So the Gators still going to get Francois even after Locksley switching to Texas?

dont think locksley matters. Everyone figured he was going to be a wr anyway.

Francois removed all references to FSU from his social media accounts today...maybe it means nothing, maybe it means everything

Really? I think he's got undeniable tools to be a successful QB. Would be pretty shocking for FSU. They'd be left with the worst of the 3 (QB-wise) of the 3 IMO.

It would be huge if that happened. I'd love it, FSU has some serious QB issues heading into 2015.

Callaway would be an idiot to choose UF over UM right now, only b/c he is a WR and they are the only position where their production is tied directly to the QB.

We have ACC Rookie of the year Brad Kaaya who is a pro style pocket passer...

UF has a 5'11 run first dual threat Treon Harris who to be honest is nothing special...

These kids are idiots though, so I fully expect him to choose UF

These guys weren't concerned either:

Andre Debose
Chris Dunkley
Adrein Coxson
Solomen Patton
Quinton Dunbar
JaJuan Story
Javares McRoy
Demarcus Robinson
Ahmad Fulwood
Alvin Bailey

Their 4* WRs or better from 2009-2013, where high ranked WRs go to die.

umm...Robinson is playing fine. Dunbar isn't very talented but had a decent career.

Most of those guys you named left the school.

So hitting on 1-10 4* or better guys is good?

They'd somehow find themselves in a worse spot than UF & Miami at QB.

where did i say that. You haven't made a point is what I am saying. You said these players went to UF to die, when only like 4 or 5 of those players actually played at UF...and 3 of them had decent careers and bailey hasn't played yet.

and you are also talking about offense guys when we had muschamp for the last 4 years. That is irrelevant moving forward.

I said my point in the 1st post. High ranked WRs go there to die and never be heard from again. They signed 10 4* WRs of better from 2009-2013, Robinson looks like the only one who will make the NFL. That is horrible.

Leaving the school is an even bigger indictment than staying and sucking, pal. Do you spend as much time on Gayta boards as you do here? Craving the attention of being a contrarian isn't a noble quality. You related to Skip Bayless or Lebatard somehow?

I kind of agree with Diego on the WR thing. Maybe they don't go there to die and I don't think there really are places that can kill potential NFL careers if the player is really good enough (unless it's a QB or RB) but at least since Harvin/Muprhy they definitely don't go there to be great or blow up or whatever. Is it QB play? Corching (Muschamp)? Probably both. That being said there's a new coach who has had offense put up pretty legit numbers.

When did this board become flooded with Gator douchebags posting christ! Smh shut it down this site has become sad... grassy like!!

UF in its first year of coaching staff will outrecruit us this year.

in 2016, we will have a fist year staff and thus get outrecruited by EVERYONE.

well only 4 or 5 actually made it on campus or played. So your post is incorrect from the get go.

Most of these guys played under muschamp. Last I checked he isn't coaching here anymore. So again your point is irrelevant.

Patton is in the NFL.

Dunbar is not very talented but had a decent career at UF.

Debose was a bust.

Fulwood still has plenty of time and will finally play under a competent offense coach. So we will see.

Robinson has done pretty well despite playing under an idiot, so he should be even better moving forward.

baily hasn't played yet, rs fresh.

so at best your point is intellectually dishonest.

Golden's a total bum. That's known. Let's call that a constant and push it aside. But holy chit @ Ice going 1-2 with 3 BTW kids we desperately wanted. Hard to see what value we're getting there if that's the outcome in a year we really need to land BTW kids. D'onofrio could've gone 1-2 as the lead recruiter with those 3.

Here's my issue with Saint Ice the Patron Saint of South Florida High School Football. I honestly don't know if he could be a great corch or a great recruiter on this level. What I can tell you is that for some obvious reasons (mostly beyond his control) he hasn't been anywhere near what people said he'd be (and they weren't tempering their predictions at the time of the hire with Golden not sucking). That said, the guy can be fairly and harshly criticized for one remaining constant when it comes to the overall recruitment of this area. People are still freaking saying that we don't know the influential people in these kids' lives to actually recruit in addition to the kid himself. Throw out even if we get a kid to actually commit or not, why the **** do you even have an Ice on staff that supposedly knows the community and how it works better than anyone and we still get hit with this criticism? And it can't be because Alfredo micromanages recruiting to such an extent that he insists that we only speak to legal guardians and grandmas. We're obviously at a major disadvantage because of Alfredo but to not even being going down the right path when we attempt to get local talent is a joke. If Ice, Beard and Baez can't properly determine at minimum the proper people that we need to sell our bs to then their existence on staff is almost as pointless as everything else involved with this program at this jucture.

****, they are using UM the same way primadonna recruits list us with no intentions on signing. I'm sure they are doing what they can, but first and foremost are using UM to get their names out on the college coaching circuit.

UM

combination of muschamp and driskel will make WR produciton very hard.

despite that dunbar put together a decent college career. He just isn't fast enough to be an NFL player.

patton made it to the nfl despite muschamp.

Y'all need to stop with these dumbass post. What does any of those WR have to do with the current UF Staff? Who knows if that staff can develop the WR position, but to use past misses (from a different staff) to prove that a WR from 2015 and beyond will suck makes no sense.
