9/3 Practice Thread

We could have shut Petrino out on offense if we had a somewhat competent DC. Not joking. We missed our opportunity at a truly dominant defensive performance. The DL did exactly what we have been told for years that the goal was. They controlled things up front and were disruptive.

Still got guys behind them, outnumbering the offense two to one, covering ****ing nobody.

Shutting out Petrino is a very difficult feat. Had we had an even half way competent offense, we would have buried them early. We left a LOT of points on the field. To have TWO turnovers inside their 10, and to come away with 3 points was simply pathetic. We convert those like any normal team would have, and that game would have been a totally different affair.

The coaching staff should be shirtless. They don't even deserve white jerseys.

**** outta my face with your *** motivational ploys. Learn to coach you fat **** then you can withhold jersey colors

Gus might be a big man, but he runs like a 75 pound Pop Warner back. Truthfully, I've seen Optimist players at the 95 lb level who run harder than Gus.

I don't want to rip on a player, but there must have been several local players who were better players than Gus that we didn't even look at in that recruiting cycle.

Hey Al, the jersey color switches don't motivate our kids. Stop wasting your time playing stupid mind games and put some heat on your two inept coordinators

yet Al wants to put this on the players!!!

When you recruit athletic aggressive South Florida savages and make them play like up north slow but fundamental farm kids, well then you are all wrong for this program.

The DL looked better than any time since Al's first year here. There is no disputing that. The LBs were very good when they were pressuring the QB and run blitzing. Our coverage is horrendous and that is because we play a soft zone. We have the athletes to cover man to man and are now getting some pressure on the QB, so why don't we cover man to man? Dorito sucks, but this is Al's team and Al's defense and I'm done with Al.

My only hope is that Al might feel his XXXL pants held up by a Hula Hoop for a belt getting hot and just decides to play balls to the wall from this point on to save his job.

Rush 3, drop 8....can't cover anyone.

Now if in the past we get it jammed down our throats because we rush 3 and refuse to change, and you can't cover the pass when you rush 3 and get production up front.....well then what in the **** is your goal here?

We got southern, fast-twitch muscle havin, snarling goons playing some whack *** defense designed for fat Polish kids in the Big 10.

Exactly! What is he trying to accomplish? Why not bring more heat to disrupt the QB if we can't cover our own shoes when we have 8 guys in coverage? Pure idiocy!

Same coaches speak that AG uses when he says "It falls on me.. I've got to do a better job". Yada Yada.

Basically don't expect improvement.. at all.
