People love to dog 85 but when he went out yesterday the offense died. He was in the game 2 1/2 drives and we scored ten points and was at midfield driving on the play he was hurt. With multiple big catches. After he left we scored ten points the remainder of the game.

Since he’s been used more in the slot versus in-line the last two weeks we‘ve seen what he can be. As me and @Lance Roffers have been saying “ use him as a big receiver flexed out”. He puts pressure on the seams and safeties. He’s one of the few guys on this roster that can do that or make contested catches. Once again playing to guys strengths tends to work.

Hopefully we get him back for Duke. I like seeing him and 88 on the field together.

We just need to get healthy, especially on offense; the RB's, the TE's, the OL, Restrepo et al
 
Our fans have such a bizarre relationship with this kid. To the point where it looked like he broke his neck against A&M and people were talking **** about him

We are better when he’s in there that’s for sure. Skinner looks smooth out there but he’s still a little ways off to rely on too much. Hopefully Mallory is ok we will certainly need him

And him and TVD always seem to be on the same page.. he runs his routes the way TVD anticipates him to so that's a big benefit as well...

Skinner is fine in small sample sizes but too much was on him yesterday when Mallory went out.

I caught a tiny bit of video from the game and saw the drop he had on an absolute missile by TVD across the middle

I think the kid will be a weapon, love his game, but he can’t be the heavy lifter as a TE right now that’s for sure. He won’t survive the physical game

Making him and in-line blocker after four years of him being bad at it was either delusional , arrogant, or all the above by the staff.

I don’t recall anything being said about any injury or even that he was out. Some of the announcers concern themselves with too much fluff and trying to be funny. They weren’t even saying who was making tackles.

They announced an "upper body injury". That really clears things up!

I think most of us have dawg 85 cause of his wild inconsistency.

Oh and his blocking, but I blame the coaches for making dudes who can’t block, block.

Every season he has to have a come to Jesus moment, and then that’s when he plays like the Mallory we know he can be.

I know he deals with a lot of injuries, but there seems to be just as much mental there as well.
