85

OR you see that he could have cut up field allowing his blocker to keep 19 from tackling him. Instead, he forced it outside and got tripped up.

I broke down the play....the still you have he literally just caught in and turned his head....had the wr even did an avg job that plays goes for the first....i dont think Dom even if he caught it and took a quick step inside gains a yard...the db was making that tackle regardless

It is a tough play for DOM and a big ask to have BS12 take on 19 who looks like their rover.

Agreed on both. This is just another area we miss X, he was an aggressive blocker. Got my money on that being a successful play if he were in the game

People love to dog 85 but when he went out yesterday the offense died. He was in the game 2 1/2 drives and we scored ten points and was at midfield driving on the play he was hurt. With multiple big catches. After he left we scored ten points the remainder of the game.

Since he’s been used more in the slot versus in-line the last two weeks we‘ve seen what he can be. As me and @Lance Roffers have been saying “ use him as a big receiver flexed out”. He puts pressure on the seams and safeties. He’s one of the few guys on this roster that can do that or make contested catches. Once again playing to guys strengths tends to work.

Hopefully we get him back for Duke. I like seeing him and 88 on the field together.

I love Mallory. My only beef is his horrendous run blocking. He has single handedly destroyed more run plays than you can count.

He is a weapon in the pass game. He gives us one on ones on the outside we need to exploit more and more. His hands have gotten better too, even though he drops one now and again.

I like running 10 formations with 11 personnel. It is helping the offense. We need to go even wider and take defenders out of the box to open up the run game. Hopefully he mends quickly. He, Colbie, and Brashard are coming on. Even Ladson is becoming more effective. If we could get Key and TVD on the same page, this passing game can really get going.
