8-Team (or more) Playoff

Either Oh St or UCF deserved to be in the playoff over Notre Lame.

The most overrated program in the history of college football, every time they've had a chance to prove their worthiness in the modern era they got embarrassed.

If you don't win your conference you shouldn't be allowed in the CFB playoff & ND should never be voted back in again until they join a conference.

Four teams is perfect. The only tweak is that conference championship should be a requirement.

No it shouldn't. It's a simpletons argument. The four best teams aren't conference champions. You guys just don't want to see the SEC getting more than one team.

I still don’t understand the stance of how 4 teams is the right number, and conference champions should be selected when there will always be 5 power five champions. An 8 team playoff is right number. All the talk of it watering down the regular season and so on is just good jargon and has no substance to it.

This argument is like saying the CFL or AFL can figure out how to create and adequate playoff system and the NFL can’t. I guess DII and DII football are the NFL when comparing them to DI football, just let that marinate for a minute and see if it passes the giggle test.

It’s a good thing conferences have these things called championship games to find out the best team in the conference.

Which means nothing in placing the FOUR BEST teams into the playoffs. I guess you didn't learn that last year. UGA is better than ND and OU this year too. The playoff committee felt pressure to leave UGA out and didn't put the four best in.

You don’t know who the best four teams are. Nobody does. It’s a guess. People made this same argument about Ohio State and Michigan in 2006 before they got boatraced in the bowls.

Conference championships are an objective way to determine the best team in the conference. Alabama beat Georgia. That game meant something. You guys are trying to turn the best sport in the world into college basketball.

its okay that college football isnt like all other sports. In our sport, the champion is the champ of the whole season. not just who is the hottest and/or healthiest at the end.

When all conferences become equal in play then you can have your way.

There's just too much difference in quality to go that route.
