8 Nebraska CFB Players File Lawsuit Against The Big10

And criminals tell the court and media they didn’t do every time. Do you believe them too because the media is reporting what they say?
For the record, I hope we can play college football this Fall safely. I would think and hope that everyone who tests postive for Covid-19 is tested for myocarditis.

My posts were to the theories and conjectures of why the Big 10 cancelled football.

Yes, I believe they decided not to play based on myocarditis. I believe they communicated it to the media without wanting their names published. You don't hear anyone from the Big 10 denying it or threatening to sue for false statements. You think the media is going to make up a story of a serious heart condition? Do you think the major newspapers such as the Philadelphia Inquirer and USA Today and media outlets such as Forbes are making it up as well? C'mon man!!!

You guys just refuse to believe claiming conspiracies when you don't like the narrative. You can disagree on whether they should have canceled Fall sports, but the reasons why they made that decision have been published. They should have come out and explained their position publicly rather than the media doing it for them.

They cancelled Fall football out of being worried about lawsuits from players unionizing, only to still get sued by players for cancelling the Fall season lol...

Kevin Warren better get that resume ready cause he's gonna have to fall on the sword when this is all said & done. That man will have no choice but to "step down" because the B1G school Presidents will never admit that they all (except for Neb & Iowa) voted against playing this season.

I also can't wait to see how bad Winter/Spring B1G football looks like, literally every team in the conference plays in an outdoor stadium but they think it would be a good idea to play Football in the North Midwest B1G country in places like Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa & Pennsylvania in January, February & March LOL.

And let's say their plan is to play in an indoor stadium, logistically how is it gonna work having 14 teams play in only 1 or 2 stadiums, because I sincerely doubt they'll be able to find enough indoor stadiums to accommodate each team individually. And unless all the home stadiums that they already play in have the ability to close their roof (which I don't believe they do), they're basically looking at playing nothing but Snowed out below -0 temperature games in the Winter/early Spring...

Good luck with that.
this lawsuit has ZERO chance of succeeding.

what a bunch of knuckleheads.

From your links:

1. The first study included 100 patients from the University of Hospital Frankfurt COVID-19 Registry who were relatively healthy adults in their 40s and 50s.
2. “We are confident that he’s going to make a full recovery, and that his long term prognosis is excellent,” Bloom noted that Rodriguez’s heart is functioning normally and that he will return to the team facilities in Florida and Boston as needed for checkups. But, he said, there isn’t enough time left this season to ramp him back up to game shape.

The third piece doesn't actually provide any information at all other than, "We don't know."

I'm pretty sure they came out with a plan to play in four NFL cities/stadiums in B1G country and planned to use NFL TV crews to broadcast the games since they'd be on site for the Sunday games. It's good in theory.

My feeling is that this only works if they start in late January after the majority of NFL teams' seasons has ended. If they try to run this concurrently (as it was made to sound in the original announcement), then issues will arise.

I appreciate the articles related to this.

It sucks, but this will cause some people to have to retire. One positive from this, if you can call it that, is that some people who had no idea they even had this issue are now aware and can address it.

They thought myocarditis fell into their laps to justify their decision to cancel sports. Then sane experts revealed that myocarditis is rarely an issue and their new excuse was debunked and Warren is still walking around with his pants down to his knees.

It may be too late for them to willingly reverse course and play.
It’s too late. The Big 10 will not reverse course any more than the PAC-12. Spring football will be sold to early enrolled recruits as a boon and a way to quickly boost their profiles. At least, that’s what will likely be said.

More likely is that a spring season is cancelled about 78 hours after NSD.

Which will again be sold as concern for the players with regard to injury.

If they’re watching the teams you mentioned, then why did they need to break Buttgers off a big check? They could have put the BigPussy Network in those markets without Buttgers and saved the giant check they’re cutting to that **** heap program every year.
I don't know. It depends on the fee structure between content providers and cable providers. That would drive whether the cable providers would provide it free of charge or part of a premium sports package.

Negotiations for the Big 10 would be easier if there was local viewing interest. One year in the NY market, Cablevision even refused to carry the Yankees locally because of fees. If Cablevision made Big 10 a premium channel, there would not be many takers, NY is a pro town. It would defeat the Big 10's purpose.

That too. And in the end, after a long and potentially tear-filled speech, it will be decided that the best thing for the students-who-are-also-occasional-athletes will be to play in the fall of 2021, "where they can play a schedule that is not truncated, one unencumbered by winter elements."

I've used this gif a lot, but only because they keep making me.

I made no argument for or against. The only arguement was the Big 10's reason(s) for canceling the season. The validity of their reason(s) could be debatable, but it is their reason none the less.

Agreed. Some can resume normality after treatment over a period of time.

Although not myocarditis, I personally got blood clots in my lungs after I was bed ridden for several months with a leg infection after surgery. Walking from my bed to the bathroom felt like I ran a mile in 3 minutes. Thought I was having a heart attack. Went to the emergency room where they gave me an iv of blood thinner and prescribed Xeralto. The clots went away and I'm able to exercise 100% no problems.

Since myocarditis can be caused by other types of viruses as well as Covid-19, I think athletes should be tested for myocarditis as part of their normal pre season physical.

Actually, anyone contacting a virus known to cause myocarditis should be tested and treated if necessary.

Occam's Razor. If they say that's the reason, there's no reason not to believe that without credible evidence.

.....Yes, I believe they decided not to play based on myocarditis. ......
You may believe their stated rationale, many reasonable people don’t.

You guys just refuse to believe claiming conspiracies when you don't like the narrative. .....[/URL]
Now you are trying to denigrate people that disagree with you by claiming they are conspiracy theory nuts. That shows bad faith in your responses.

Some of the most reasonable and varied posters, from all sides of the spectrum, on this site agree with the point that they don’t believe myocarditis was the actual rationale, just a “fall guy”.

Where is the same news about the PAC-12? Or are the colleges, coaches, and players in lockstep with the spring season idea?
They're sitting with their mouths open because the Big Ten appears to be doing their own thing once again....

I wouldn't be shocked if Nebraska looks to get back into the Big 12 after all of this madness. Money will be there, will it be Big 10 money, maybe not but I think based on principal they will do it.

Look dude. You have it all wrong. It's not about myocarditis. It's about whether that was the major reason they canceled Big 10 football. It was. It has been reported on. The end.
