8 Nebraska CFB Players File Lawsuit Against The Big10

Football is too big to fail, but unlike Wall Street, it means something more to the people & is a staple of communities across the country.

People love to harp on saying "there are more important things than Football!" Well yeah no shìt, but Football is more than just a game for a lot of folks, on all levels in High School, College & the Pro's, it's the best representation of unity, fairness & meritocracy that you can get in America, it has the ability to change the lives of thousands of people & teach life lessons to kids that you can't really learn any place else.

Throwing it away just isn't an option, beyond just the entertainment value of it, Football is a vertebrae of our culture, the Bill Gates Wuhan weapon is not strong enough to defeat it, CTE scares isn't strong enough, even in the midst of all the fcked up social unrest & police brutality that's going won't stop it, nothing short of a fúckin Asteroid coming down from the sky simultaneously crushing hundreds of stadiums at once would be enough to keep the nation from playing this game. So all the efforts that get used to constantly try & shut it down will always be met with immediate rejection.

The B1G Presidents were banking on a snowball effect to get Footall cancelled, that's why it leaked out to the media when it was first announced, they tried to plant that seed & have it spread that Footbal will be cancelled & everyone would panic & follow suit. They gave a little crumb of information to their lap dog college football writers & those mf'ers ate it up, they were all on Twitter writing the obituary on the 2020 Fall season pouring it on heavy, then 2 days later the ACC & SEC was like, "Nah we good, we're just gonna wear masks, rub some dirt on it, drink some Tussin' for that shît & take a nap, we're still playing". That left the B1G scrambling...

The Pac-12 don't care, they wasn't playing Football no matter what anybody said, they were just waiting on somebody else to make the decision for them lol.
100% right. You sure you ain't my son?

BigPussy tried to use Pete Grim Reaper Thamel as their fck boy didn't they? That weasel was on every college football radio show spreading the desultory message of the impending cancellation of college football for weeks before BigPussy dropped their **** bomb of quitting faquitry. Where's that Grim Reaper sad sack Thamel been lately? Haven't seen much of him since his message of cancellation got shoved up his flat *** by Trevor Lawrence, the ACC and SEC.

They can quit and transfer. They still have to sit out a year unless they get a waiver or are grad transfers.
If I’m Fleming or green and I’m going to a top program I’m likely redshirting anyway.
A player like Fleming can sit out a year and get coaching from gold feet and workout at local gyms with former pro and college players and trainers. If I’m either of them I bounce instead of sitting for a year in that cold and likely workout with lesser talent and coaching g than they could get back home.

Kevin Warren's *** is grass. He had 5 months to prepare & literally did NOTHING.

This lawsuit doesn't make much sense to me considering how long it will take to play out but Kevin Warren is inept as ****. Playing football in January, February, March in the coldest place in the country sounds like a nightmare. And why would you release a schedule 4 days befotr canceling the season??? That's literally like a girl twerking on you & playing with your **** then telling you she's on her period lmao, that's terrible

Interesting story making the rounds today via a report by Sports Illustrated. @Liberty City El and @The Franchise you pretty much nailed it.

"The Big 10 Expected The ACC To Cancel Football, Notre Dame Saved The Season"

According to a wild report from Sports Illustrated, the Big 10 expected the ACC to cancel football once the B10 pulled the plug. Once that happened, the Big 12 and SEC would have pretty much no choice but to do the same.
Unfortunately for the Big 10, Notre Dame had different plans, and convinced the ACC to continue playing, which allowed the SEC and Big 12 to give the B1G the middle finger.

An unnamed source told Sports Illustrated, “Notre Dame really wanted to play and was willing to enter into an agreement that could lead to something down the road … at the very least, more games every year against ACC teams. They’re adamance [sic] about playing was the ace-in-the-hole a group, led by Clemson, needed to really push for a season and turn the tide in favor of ignoring the Big Ten.”

"I mean, if Notre Dame, with their academic reputation and their national brand, was willing to go forward ... it sort of just sealed the ACC's fate."

To make matters even worse, the B10 leaders thought they’d be applauded for canceling football! A Michigan source told SI, “There was an arrogance that our presidents and institutions would come out on the high ground, believing they’d look like heroes for putting student-athletes above football.”

IDK how much of a factor Notre Dame was - it was certainly to their benefit to get the ACC to play....
Just to add to this, Blake James was on the Joe Show this morning. The entire segment was spent talking about the fact Julio Frenk has been a real guiding force in the ACC in terms of advice and planning going forward. Blake said that other University Presidents, ADs, coaches and even Commissioner Swofford have looked to Frenk's experience in the field of public health for guidance. He also cited the medical advisory committee for the ACC as being a huge part in the ACC decision making process.

Almost verbatim what Your Living Legend has been saying with the exception of ND saving football. That reeks of more Thamel nonsense. I don’t know if he was part of that article or not.

Trevor Lawrence saved college football with an assist from the **** naked Julio Frenk.

Not that other schools wouldn’t lose a lot of money, being independent in football, Notre Lame stood to lose a helluva lot of money by not playing. Whether or not ND had a lot of influence in the decision by the ACC to play seems a bit of a stretch. It was in their best interests to strike the deal they did and the ACC benefitted from it.

You're entitled to your opinion, but you're speculating at best. There are medical factors that went into the Big 10 decision not to have football. Fifteen big 10 players who tested postive for Covid-19 also had myocarditis. It's a heart condition that includes blood clots which could cause cardiac arrest or heart failure if untreated. This has occurred in people who got sick and those who were asymptomatic.
There's supposed to be a report coming out on the percentage of athletes who develop myocarditis after contracting Covid-19. I won't speculate on when or what the report will reveal.

I know, it's Nebraska and it's the Big10 but it'll still be interesting to see how this all shakes out.

Downright hysterical if true 👇👇👇

Golden Dome to the rescue? 🤮

No comment on the suit but Nebraska, the institution, should thank the Big 10 every day for letting them in.

All Big 10 schools have American Association of Universities membership, but Nebraska lost that. That is a big deal for the Big 10. Nebraska lacks a large media/TV market and it will never have one. It is not a huge national brand and likely never will be. Plus it desperately wanted out of the Big 12 and it fell up, by any measure. All Nebraska really has/had going for it was geographic location and the fact that JIm Delaney liked the idea of adding that "pretty girl". Of course he also thought it was a good idea to add Rutgers and Maryland......
Media markets for Rutgers. And an easy win.

They cancelled Fall football out of being worried about lawsuits from players unionizing, only to still get sued by players for cancelling the Fall season lol...

Kevin Warren better get that resume ready cause he's gonna have to fall on the sword when this is all said & done. That man will have no choice but to "step down" because the B1G school Presidents will never admit that they all (except for Neb & Iowa) voted against playing this season.

I also can't wait to see how bad Winter/Spring B1G football looks like, literally every team in the conference plays in an outdoor stadium but they think it would be a good idea to play Football in the North Midwest B1G country in places like Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa & Pennsylvania in January, February & March LOL.

And let's say their plan is to play in an indoor stadium, logistically how is it gonna work having 14 teams play in only 1 or 2 stadiums, because I sincerely doubt they'll be able to find enough indoor stadiums to accommodate each team individually. And unless all the home stadiums that they already play in have the ability to close their roof (which I don't believe they do), they're basically looking at playing nothing but Snowed out below -0 temperature games in the Winter/early Spring...

Good luck with that.

I think he is taking all this heat for the Presidents while they sit back and sip their tea with a pinkie up. He must have had his job guaranteed to be this kind of punching bag

I buy most of it except the part about ND. Please.

Not a big fan of Frenk, but his soft shirtless shoulders did carry the wright this time.

Yeah, that is the argument. Maryland gave you DC and Rutgers gave you New York. The problem is that Rutgers doesn't actually give you anything and they get an equal share of the Big 10 media rights revenues. Now Syracuse may have been a different matter....
