This is Groundhog Day for me. I’m going to enjoy all of it, AGAIN.

I’ll also add that had the last staff been here, we’d get blown out of this game.

We had a balanced offense and threw the ball more than I anticipated we would. We dropped a lot of balls and missed two easy field goals. I can’t ask for more with this roster away in front of 100,000 loud fanatics. Hate all you want, but that last dropped pass wasn’t on the staff. If we tie it, they’re remembered for grace under pressure. We won the night. If you don’t believe so, you have zero perspective and missed the last twenty years. The staff did a phenomenal job.

This is a great post, and I mostly agree. I've said essentially the same thing about the gameplan since last week, was exactly what I anticipated and we had a shot to steal one in SEC country.

But they puckered their ******** in the 4th. 3 straight runs and a FG inside the 10 was too conservative. My concern is that is just who Mario is, and that concern is based on prior evidence and not just on what he did this past weekend.

Guess we will see at the end of the year how Texas A&M end. But they struggled against Sam Houston relatively speaking and lost to App State, and honestly looked bad yesterday. I dont think they are a good team at all. Nice recruiting classes tho, sure.

It's still tough to play in front of 100K in a night game in SEC country. That team also beat Bama last year. And Miami is not 8-4 in the SEC west, that I can guarantee.

Man, have expectations fallen to an all time low if we are taking silver linings out of that coaching performance. I give credit to the defense for being able to stop a game manager QB but seriously we are kidding ourselves if we assume the rest of our opponents are going to be that vanilla.

Our offensive performance was atrocious. We ran the ball okay, but none of our RB's can take it to the house like Duke, Walton, Dee Jay or even Homer could. Our WR's are the worst I've ever seen in this program. Van Dyke was spoiled last year with Rambo and even Harley being almost Canton-esque compared to this crew. But our OC in the red zone had nothing designed to get us in the end zone and twice didn't even try.

Yeah our special teams were bad (opening kickoff #4 whiffed costing us 30 yards of field position, Stevenson muff, Porter not being tough enough to get that fumble, a brutal penalty the play before not being lined up right...). This was not a well coached team.

Giving them points and props for not quitting is a really low bar.
