5 star DT Lamont Gaillard

Looks like Golden was corching it up with this guy.....Thanks to all posters

I'm unsure as to why they can say they were unaware of our prospects, I really don't think that excusable, but I do understand the fact that there are 10 months left and always better late then never.

The problem is, these two kids value FIRST in a big way. Whoever offers first, whoever comes by first, whoever they visit first.

So... after months of trying to sale a player that is highly regarded as one of the nations tops to my favorite team, found out today the the staff of Miami doesn't even know our kids... basically meaning they've never watched the files I sent, disregarded our voicemails, maybe even never even read our emails...

Thr only reason they now know of him is our rival coach has a kid that they're interested in and he had to tell them about our guy... smh... just hard to believe that they ignored everything while staffs like alabama, florida, georgia south carolina clemson etc etc immediately responded with offers

Nevertheless, they'll be here tomorrow... THANK GOD

With that said, Miami has the chance to be the first to offer both at the same time. I've always felt that whoever did that, would ultimately get the two because they really want to play together. The offers they have in common are Clemson, NC State and South Carolina, but Landry feels as if those schools weren't truly interested in he and only decided to offer to attempt to gain ground with Lamont. If Miami comes in and shows genuine interest in both and offer both after seeing them, they'll immediately shoot to the top, just because of how they think.

Wow :ohlord:

To organize the players that the position coached bring to them for consideration. Then they sit around as a group and decide who gets an offer. Hands down Jethro has been mailing it in for over a year now. He could have easily have GA Brown look at this kids film. Which from what I hear the staff is starting to have GA's lend a hand more in the grunt work of recruiting process now. Great to hear there is a decision maker in our corner with these kids but man Georgia is just up UM's recruiting but between these two and Sony M. I am hoping we land both which would send a clear message that UM is serving notice there is a storm brewing in the Gables.

GO Canes!

I think Miami is in the drivers seat for Gaillard. What happen was Galliard and his high school coach wanted Florida to offer Landry. Muschamp said **** that so now Florida is out. Eventually UGA will do the same unless they really strike out at DE. They have limited scholarships to offer this year they cant take on dead weight like Landry when there are other DT's out there.

SMH it's Jethro's job to know this, the sooner he's gone the better

Actually we recruit by area and its THAT guy who is supposed to bring heads up to Position coach, now Jethro MIGHT be the same guy as it could be his area but we dont know. I am sure if someone reverse engineered past prospects and see who they bought up that they talked to we could find out who dropped the ball, heck the wez is trying to crack the boston marathoner case, throw this in as well

Perfect example is Coley hsa gotten Yearby to commit for the last 3 years............. is he a running backs coach or ever been one? Point is Jethro will get blamed for everything

This kid is a game changer on the DL and imo is better than Clark who is good but regressed a bit as a jr. I think Clark needs to get back down to 305-308 his natural playing weight instead of 325.. If UM lands him,Clark and a juco DT that would be a top 3 DT class. FWIW don't count on Valentine his grades are suspect I think he might prep honestly. On a side note i'm hearing UM might take a look at WR Lamar Parker at camp and maybe offer.

I dontunderstand how u can be viewed as a 5star for one site but a 3 star on another???

me either but it does mean he is a talent just not a monster but he can improve. Also, UF, FSU, Bama, SC, Clem and now UM has offered so that should say he's at least legit enough

I don't care it's Jethro's job to know if DT in America.

You realize that if a coach recruits a region they recruit ALL the positions in those regions right? The position coach no matter who it is focuses where he is designated so he can't know everybody or else every "talented" recruit would have 40 or more offers before they get to their senior year

Can someone here post an invitation on Canestime for Gaillard and Landry's coach to come post on this board? My account over there was suspended so I can't post one myself, but it would be great if he were providing us with updates on these 2 and not the 4-5 guys who post over there...

doesnt matter...when the dt targets actually become his job...he sh+ts the bed every **** time with his goof ball ***......

i dont care if i have a region...if i have guys like corey king and earl moore logging minutes on my dline im up all night looking at dt prospects from liberty city to Guam.

Just watching our dts in the spring was astonishing...i mean our interior guys were OWNING them....we honestly have maybe 3 legit miami dts....and 2 of them are srs in Curtis Porter and Luther Robinson. The other guy is Olsen Pierre who is LEGIT. The rest in my opinion from what ive seen of them are depth guys at best...we need difference makers..especially with the sh*tty scheme we run.

I would be surprised if Miami went the package deal route to get a recruit, no matter how talented the kid. If the "package kid" isn't up to snuff I'd be surprised if we took him. Even if it cost us a shot at the elite prospect. Also factor in that we may still end up with scholie reductions, in that case we can't waste any of 'em.
