5-star DT Lamar Brown plans visit to Miami in the summer

He doesn’t insult people out of the blue. He has a critical opinion and because there’s little sunshine with him, he gets under peoples’ collective skin with it but there are certain posters who are constantly on him. He’s not constantly on them. So when the bomb goes off in response, it isn’t out of left field and I don’t blame him.
I see your point, but I don’t think what you said negates anything I said.

He doesn't have a critical opinion. That would actually involve criticism, which would entail logic and analysis and suggestions for improvement. The program, the administration, the coaches, and the players do both good things and bad things. Instead, he has an unrelenting negative view of everything. Nothing is ever good, or good enough.

And that doesn't get underneath peoples' collective skin as much as it becomes boring and predictable and mockable. I turned one of his negative phrases back on him, to reflect to him what he says on an ongoing basis, and it caused him to lose his temper.

So be it.

If you think we should not respond to someone who has typed 27,000 posts worth of UM hate and negativity in the interest of "anyone can say whatever they want", I guess that is one approach. I choose to occasionally rebut and mock his "critical opinion", that is all. Unlike him, I have never challenged or threatened or implied a violent in-person response against him. I just think his level of internal turmoil is sad and I'm curious as to what he will post when we win our 6th championship.

I get why he’s a target. He seems to enjoy getting under the skin of the Mario Bros so we let stuff go. That said, you’re one who is usually at the forefront of going at him and at some point I’m sure he has his limits too.

Yeah, I get why he’s gets the hate. He’s allowed an opinion but he is snarky and enjoys getting under the collective Mario Bros skin. But he doesn’t actually attack people randomly. My response to you was primarily about the part regarding him insulting people.

Very fair.

And I'd immediately lay off of him if he showed any capability of articulating more than one take on any subject. You and I converse, I know you are a bit past the halfway point on the pessimism scale. But you are also capable of acknowledging that things are happening that constitute "improvements" or "changes" or "no longer doing what we once did".

Much love to you and yours. Away tix just went on sale, might I see you in Tally this year?

Not sure about Tally but I can see SMU or a home game possibly happening

Real life can't be happy for you.

I’ll look into it. I’ve never been to Franklin’s
If you and @TheOriginalCane would like to meet with an immature 50-something year old alum who uses a Midwest handle to chow down some Texas BBQ, please let me know. I'm fairly certain I'm going to that game. I may even have the lovely Mrs. BigDik with me, but not 100% sure yet.

Yeah, I just typed that sentence out....
