Brown took the visit with his mother, brother and grandmother, and they caught an early flight out of Miami this morning.

“Lamar said he had a great time,” Lamar’s mother,Shontol James, told CaneSport as Lamar slept on the early morning flight home. “We did a lot of fun things, did a boat ride, spent time with the coaches. They said he’s special to them, that he can be a great fit with their family and help out.”

She stresses that distance is “no issue” in the decision.

“I don’t know what he’s going to choose – it’s up to him, whatever he chooses.” “He’s a smart guy, he knows what he’s doing,” “Whatever he decides is what it will be – it’s entirely up to him.”

Decision day is July 10

I’m not saying we are the leader or anything but you can’t take anything from a momma interview. She probably has no clue herself. I’ll tell you what though..don’t think momma and grandma wouldn’t like to take trips down to Miami for weekend getaways during the Fall. That will always be in our favor.

And keep in mind, Canesport hit them up at the literal crack of dawn this morning. They had a very very early flight.
