1. He has no head coaching experience. Coaches should not cut their teeth at Miami.

2. He is a average defensive coordinator. Any defensive coordinator that utilized a 4-3 scheme would look good following D'Onofrio's horrible defense. Too many people are blinded by the so-called number two ranking. However, they ignore what their eyes see. That is, more times than not, Manny's defense get shredded by any offense with a pulse. Just look at the Wisconsin game. We knew Wisconsin was going to run it and we still could not stop it.

3. If Manny retains the current staff, he is nothing more than a another Richt.

4. Manny is all hype and no substance. Big deal, he created the turnover chain. Woohoo.

Disclaimer:

If Manny hires a quality and experienced defensive coordinator and fires the entire 0 staff and replaces them with quality and experience, he will win big. However, it appears that the trade-off to get rid of richt was to hire Manny and retain the ****** staff

#2 is incorrect, when the offense sucks donkey *** and the punter kicks it 28 yards the defense wears down, give this defense some offense and we win 11 games, we turned the ball over 5 times vs Wisc in a meaningless bowl game

#3 is a what if, I do agree if he retains the offensive staff he will fail, however give a few hours before making dumb posts

There are a few coordinators who have cut their teeth at big schools and it worked out (Dabo at Clemson, Smart at UGA, Lincoln riley at OU) I'm just not sure if Diaz is going to be that coach.

4.). He’s the ex Temple head coach. Just like Golden

I like Manny's passion. He talks like a Miami Hurricane. Is he a great coach? Absolutely not. Is he overrated? Absolutely. Can he be a good head coach at Miami? Absolutely. But he must do things like a great coach would. That means he needs to clean house on the offensive side of the ball. Go out and hire Top Notch assistants, including a DC

what you are saying means Manolita would have to fire his pals ... he's not going to do that .

He isn’t perfect but at least he had energy on the sidelines. He actually cared about his job and players. He made adjustments in games. Unlike cmr

During the Boston College game:

BC's
1st Drive: 10 plays
2nd Drive: 10 and
3rd Drive: 20 plays.

Stop ignoring your eyes. You can't blame that on the offense.

Did you watch the Wisconsin game? They were shredding us from the moment they got the ball. You can't blame that on the offense. Again, we knew they were going to run the ball and we still could not stop it.

Wait a second, when did our punter kick a ball 28 yards? I thought I watched every game and don’t remember anyone breaking the 25 yard barrier.

I don't mind him keeping Banda and patk3 as position coaches. They are not qualified to be defensive coordinators. Manny should know that. The perception of that is horrible for the program.

The offensive staff should have been fired already.

keep in mind that the biggest program (Texas) where Diaz worked he was FIRED. you can't say the same thing about Dabo, etc.

Energy on the sidelines? So that makes him qualified. For **** sakes, Al golden had meltdowns on the sidelines.

every game you mention was with Rosier as qb, the team didn't give 2 shlts once he came back as the starter, we were doomed with him. Stop being a beta, is the Diaz hire great? NO, were his defenses very good YES
