4 min left, 2 TOs and we ran out of time

I think this is the perfect example of how incompetent Richt is.

His scheme is archaic and awful, play calling stinks but he can't even run a simple 2 minutes drill. Teams run their regular offense faster then Miami can run a 2 min drill.

He is senile!! He don’t understand or react quick enough to anything. Yo can see the difference from last year. He is not sharpe, he look lost and not attached. He is sick

disagree, players needed to 'execute'' better...

Doesn’t take a scheme or “your” players to run a two minute drill. It’s truly amazing we actually ran out of time. Deserves to be a breach of contract for not fulfilling your duties as a coach and should be fired just on this alone. Pathetic.

I don’t think he would even remember he had dementia, or would even rush to the doctor to get diagnosed. Nope, he would sit there all gansta stubborn and all while he **** his pants and ****ed out the other end. Dementia, nope

um, last year's final drive versus FSU refutes the OP's theory.

regardless, our final drive in this game, in fact all of our drives, essentially sucked.

We anticipated it and were talking about it in the stands before the drive began. If you remember, Richt called his first time out after Duke's third down scramble failed with about 4:20 remaining and the clock running. A guy behind us was furious that we used a time out there. But myself and one other guy said it was the correct move, given the ineptitude of Richt's two minute offense and the lack of urgency and instincts by N'Kosi Perry.

That final drive unfolded almost exactly as I expected.

Elite corching. Guy was about to retire after getting fired and we somehow thought it was a good idea to hire Georgia's scraps. SMH

I wonder if during the process of hiring Richt did our AD ever ask himself “I wonder why UGA fired him? Maybe I should look into that”

We hired a loser. His "good enough" will never be up to Miami standards. While I'm sure he wants to win, I doubt he's too concerned with losing games as long as he feels he's making a positive impact on his players' lives off the field.

IPF offices still under construction so they haven't discussed plays. They are winging it right now

Reminded me of the time Jacory Harris as a freshman had to run the 2 minute drill for a comeback and approached it like there was 20 minutes left..............except this felt worse.
The difference being we won that game. I assume you're referring to the UVA game in 08.

Naw! Richt getting fired by UGA when he did was a godsend for James. Mork checked all the boxes for James and this image obsessed BOT. It was an effortless copout to hire Richt. James never had to exert the rational thought required to make a quality hire. I supported Richt at first because I'm always going to give any coach a fair shot. I gave Richt every opportunity to earn and keep my support but it's clear as crystal now that he is in way over his head.

All jokes aside I am fairly convinced Richt has dementia or some other age related cognitive disorder. It's as plain as day. For this reason I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Richt decides to retire at the end of the year. He looks tired, beat down and utterly defeated. Make no mistake, things are only going to get worse in terms of pressure, fan hostility, bashing by the media and an overall atmosphere of toxicity. He's not going to want to go through that. I'm fairly confident that both sides can reach an agreement behind the scenes that would allow Richt to walk away and retire with his dignity somewhat intact. At this point it is the only scenario I can see that would be mutually beneficial.

Go back to the end of the half where we got the ball with 2 minutes left and it was the same ****. It's like Richt doesn't want to score. Who needs explosive plays and points on the board when you can just run out the clock and go home and watch Matlock.

Yah he is making really positive impacts. Just a few examples. So far he has made JT4 lose a ton of money. He made Kaaya lose a bunch of money. He made Sam Bruce lose out on an education. I could go on for days with this. I would not be surprised if all of these kids want to declare early under RIcht because they are tired of walking on egg shells around Richt and knowing that any small messup could get them suspended or thrown off the team their senior year and they don't want to take that risk.

I mean you would think that in the hiring process....all these questions are asked. If my company hires someone that has been fired from his previous job....there will be questions as to why and a discussion about it.
I agree that it obviously never happened here.
I think root of the problem comes from the inferiority complex our administration seems to have....they were just happy a name wanted the job didn’t ask for be question and gave him anything he wanted.
This is why I’m afraid we are dead. Even if Richt retires you can expect the laziest coach search in history.
Getting the right coach to bring us back will be like winning the lottery with our administration doing the search.
