#35 spring workout Ray Ray - Is this real?

When asked about Ray Ray Armstrong, Coach Cristobal said "Man, **** that Touch Money douchebag, Ray Ray has already cracked the starting lineup. Ray Ray is a wonderful human being who has earned the nickname 'Big Baby God' which, last time I checked, is even better than 'Big Baby Jesus', so I don't really care what some random CIS porster has to say."
Did you get him to sign the #35 jersey said poRster promised you?

I would not rank Restrepo above some of the all time greats because those guys were freakish athletes and Restrepo doesn’t really have that kind of size/athleticism. It’s not a knock, it’s just the truth. And just like every other receiver playing in the modern era, he gets more targets because the game is more wide open but his numbers are not a product of not having other options. Last year we had 5 guys with 35 or more receptions. No Miami team ever has spread the ball around that much. In 2023 George had 57 catches and Young had 47 but we had almost zero tight end production. The only year I’d say there was almost no competition for targets was 2022 but X was hurt and only played half the season anyway.

Miami was a decade late to the offensive party so a lot of their records were thirty years old. Until 2020, they played offense like it was still the 90’s. As the years go one, the offensive records will all get broken and the guys who had the records from 30-40 years ago will all slide down the list. It’s just the nature of the sport. Regardless, X is the best UM receiver in the last 20 years.
Crazy that this has to be explained, this is common sense ****. But as we see in the world a lot of people don’t have this common sense gift. Which I find weird asf

The world isn’t binary. Too many people think it’s either one thing or the other with zero in between. Nobody understands nuance.

i could do that too, if no one is covering me...

on 2nd though well, maybe not the over the back catch

It depended on the year. Randall was slot initially than in his third year was moved back outside. Far as a discussion, I can't go anyplace in my head that Kevin doesn't start and end that discussion. Kevin was 6 waiting to happen on any given play. All on stacked teams.
Kevin was my favorite receiver as a kid. Fastest 1-2 step until this day. Many, many, years later, a teammate of his shared with me the story’s about those teams and the amount of “partying” going on under Dennis. I can’t share more but it’s insane work they were still successful from 91-94.

Hermano...

Jake Bobo: 4.99
Jarvis Landry: 4.77
Jauan Jennings: 4.72
Larry Fitzgerald: 4.63
Keenan Allen: 4.71
Jerry Rice: 4.71
Chris Carter: 4.63
Anquan Boldin: 4.71
Chad Johnson: 4.57

Take into account, any receiver who runs a 4.4 at the combine is probably not doing so a few years later.

The best TE's and Slot receivers are not fast, rather, smart.. While speed is a luxury, it's nowhere near a requisite to mediocrity or greatness.
Some of Those Times the Guys ran it again at the Pro day. Jerry Rice Ran 4.6 in front of Bill Walsh Stated . Some of those are the Guys worst Timing. Rice went From Mid 4.5 to 4.71. We all know in Pad Jerry was 4.4.
Some guys in Pad are slower than Their Time

Kevin William staying his Senior Year would have been the Featured Reciever in 93. He got Hurt & was overweight till Nov 1992 to get his explosiveness Back.

Dennis partied the hardest. He had to get dragged out of the Old Cutler Inn on may nights. And we used have to drop Bryce off in his front yard because he was too drunk to walk. Dennis still kicking at 78. He must have an iron liver.

I have to contain myself regarding Ray Ray. My disgust related to this kid comes from Mario giving Brashard Smith's reps to Ray Ray (forcing Smith to SMU, where he flourished). That's not Ray Ray's fault.

That said, Ray Ray cost the team approximately 350 yards of total offense last season by his refusal to field any punt that was not kicked directly to him. It was maddening. He had NO BIDNESS being back there.
