3 Concerns

On Johnson big run, the alignment had me concerns, end was inside shade of the TE and the LB was stacked atop and safety was 10 yards off stacked too. Unless the had a wrong arm end with spill technique over the LB on that play, still didn't make tonnes of sense.
That and Harris taking the wrong lane.

Busts happen and they happen to call a great play on an improper alignment, puller etc.
Yeah and just so happened to be the one guy that could really make us pay for it

Another team and maybe it’s a 20 yard gain and we forget about it

Run defense dominated. Take away the long one and this is a bloodbath.

This is cool

Can you explain what OL line yards means? I mean I think I get the idea behind it but that’s an interesting one
Line yards are created by the OL before the RB gets touched. We blew them off the ball on offense, and stuffed the **** out of them on defense.

Our stopped & stuffed rush percentages are crazy.

There were 3 main concerns we had as fans and for now I think all were alleviated (for now)

1. Run defense. DT was a concern and we had that one bad play but every time Johnson got the ball he was SWARMED. The score helped but they couldn’t run it on us.

2. Secondary. Not much that needs said. We will see when we play more arm talented QBs but our discipline was extremely impressive to me. Florida tried to get us to bite on a lot of misdirection and eye candy stuff early and we didn’t fall for it. Brown gave up a decent gain but that was just a perfect throw. Jackson and Guidry were busy this summer and it shows.

3. Left guard. A great QB can mask an OL but we didn’t need him to. Rodriguez and McCoy (from what I saw without rewatching) were good. OL is gonna be a strength yet again.

Looking forward to this rewatch to get into the finer details of things. I have a difficult time with the interior of the lines other than splash type plays but this should be fun
Number 1 and solely the Dt position has me worried Clark was underwhelming. Need moten and Scott to step up for bigger roles

Just stuck with the SR yesterday. Was drinking a little too fast for the FP. Though it was locked and loaded. My favorite.
Smart and yeah SR is **** hard for me to get these days but it’s awesome

We didn’t really go that hard. It was kinda like we were expecting the beat down and once you saw Cam doing his thing you knew it was gonna be a beat down

It was bad alignment and UF was going to have a positive play, regardless if Harris took the correct lane. Didn't help that we just got beat at point of attack. Perfect execution by Florida and incorrect lane by Harris made it an easy TD instead of just a 7-10 yard gain.

Secondary looked good. But we have virtually no depth there. We could sustain Bain leaving the game because we have DE depth for days. But if we lose a guy in the secondary, we're f'd.

1. Lbs in coverage
2. Andy B on deep kicks
3. Variety in the run game. I know we believe in our O-Line but just saying we are going to run behind the guards all the time may bite us

Wes looked confused. Pre snap he kept looking to the sideline. There was some sort of miscommunication. I’m sure Mario will dissect the play and outline all the scheme and responsibilities on the Joe Rose Show this week.
No. No he won’t do that.

Brown went out and we didn’t miss a beat. Also first game of the year. Some of the young guys will be pushing for snaps by the time ACC play comes around.

My minor concern is, Florida really isn't that good and they actually may not win 4 games this year. That said, looking at the schedule will Miami not be the most talented team on the field in all the games?
Louisville? I guess perhaps FSU?
I don't see how the sky is not the limit with the team minus a major implosion.

USF will be a tougher game than Florida.
