2028 QB Knox Annis commits to Miami

Good, we can’t rely on the portal for QB going forward. I don’t ever want to see a QB of just Emory or Judd again. Take a bunch of talent and let the cream rise. I like being proactive.

**** this is a surprise. Hope it doesn’t come at the expense of Neiman Lawrence because they aren’t in the same realm of talent, imo.

That said, I trust Dawson’s evals and this kid has played a lot of football as an underclassmen. Nickel took a big jump from sophomore to junior year. But I’m just imaging what Neiman Lawrence’s statline would be if he had Brysen Wright at WR.

I don't, to be honest. They're TBD, at best, IMO. We've yet to see him elevate a young QB into the conversation and this will be his 4th year?

Welcome to the U, Knox. Knox is young, but has a lot of potential. We will see how this season goes for him. He's not a statue back there either. Him and Neiman will make a nice class. My guess is Mensah and Judd will leave after the season.
Carson. CJ Daniels and Brody Jennings all graduated from Mandarin.

But we mightve had a better shot at landing Smith at WR, right?
No.....Smith was never coming to Miami. All that BS was just a smoke screen so he could get more money to go to where he was always going. At that time the offense was pure trash and had no identity and had been that way for years at Miami.

Annis Knox
112/186 (60%) - 2203 yards - 22 TD - 10 Int

Brysen Wright
46 receptions - 983 yards - 10 TD

Take away Brysen and dude's numbers look like this:
66/140 (47%) - 1220 yards - 10 TD - 10 Int

If he's going to help us with Brysen, then sure I'd still take him.

sorry but if you take Wright out, other players would have played in his place :ROFLMAO:. cant just take out 46 catches and those yards tds int. and you also took out 46 catches on 46 attempts. cmon man

That's right. @SCarolina Ibis 's math assumes none of the interceptions or incomplete passes were on passes intended for Wright. Literally any QB's stats would look terrible with that kind of fuzzy math....

Beck
338/467 (72.4%) - 3813 yards - 30 TDs - 12 INTs

Toney
109 receptions - 1211 yards - 10 TDs

Take away Toney and dude's numbers look like this:
229/358 (63.9%) - 2602 yards - 20 TDs - 12 INTs

It doesn't work that way.

Anyway, welcome to the U!

.
LOL… some of you people, I swear.

Oh no! We can’t have 2 good quarterback recruits in one class.

Now show me his stats on only his left-handed throws .... both are equally irrelevant.

Welcome to The U.

I’m all for the competition and not worried about who this may or may not affect. No matter who he brings in—whether through commitments or the transfer portal—Mario will keep recruiting over you. That’s how it’s supposed to be!!!!

We took three all-conference portal quarterbacks in a row? Even if we count Judd as apart of his own, not like any of his qbs have been given a chance to compete for a starting role. Only Emory got live action against Iowa State.

Mac Jones and Stetson Bennett are apart of his evaluation track record just as well. Taking Nickel before his jump in his junior and senior seasons speaks to the evaluation & identification skillset.

Same goes for taking a rising junior Coleman after he beat out a SEC elite 11 senior qb commit who was two years older than him & won 12 games the year before.
