I hope this kid is nothing more than the +1 of Brysen Wright. The Monroe Ingraham to our hopeful Brysen Wright, if you will. Because otherwise it is a super long way out, why take a commit this early, and this kid looks pretty mid.

Got a feeling this is us learning from one of our missteps in the JJ sweepstakes. We slow played CJ Bailey until we thought it would make a difference on JJs recruitment but by then it was too little too late. We're covering that base early in the Brysen Wright recruitment IMO.

Yes this kid is not elite but this is a chess move for a bigger fish. That much is obvious. So its fine with me. Also, we will have a QB from our room this year leave at some point to portal, maybe 2 of them so this helps with depth.

That said, I trust Dawson’s evals and this kid has played a lot of football as an underclassmen. Nickel took a big jump from sophomore to junior year. But I’m just imaging what Neiman Lawrence’s statline would be if he had Brysen Wright at WR.
