Being platooned the back half off the season with a freshman hitting well under .200, and then left off the roster for regionals, wasn’t a sign of a long term future here.

100 percent. Tailed off at the end of the season but the writing was on the wall when Williams was injured and he couldn't sniff an AB.

We expressed interest in UGA top 20 transfer Kolton Smith.

We need some movement. Our biggest thing is flipping this lineup and there’s no evidence we’ve done that especially if Ogden signs. We need to start acting with a bit of urgency.

Going to have to hope a few of the freshman get to campus and the game slows down quick for them. Which a few of them are very capable of playing at a high level from day 1.

Regardless, counting on multiple incoming Frosh is fool’s gold (the ones you can usually sign League).

Probably more realistic to hope (again ) that Peralta/Torres put in the work to turn their bats around

I wouldn't say that. Brylan West and Cian Copeland fill a huge need for size at 1B/DH. Vance Sheahan is in the Cape and one of the better players in the Portal. I think pitching should pick up pretty soon here.

Catcher is a key piece. Need an impact guy there. Let's see if that gets done soon.

We need to get the NC State catcher Alex Sosa. He would provide a much needed power lefty bat that we'll need in next year's lineup. I believe he is originally from Florida.
