Was thinking about him and if he would transfer for his money season. He’d get absurd offers from every program I’m sure but we will have an opening with a high pick going before.
 
Not saying Sellers is Cam Ward but I’d use his 2024 performance for perspective as opposed to what has transpired this year. He was concussed in a game back in September and missed a week not to mention having to work with the disaster class that is Mike Shula

I really want to know what’s funny. He kept them in the game vs. Bama in 2024. He kept them in the game vs. Illinois in their bowl game. He was the reason they were in the LSU game before he got hurt.

Honestly you do this a lot and you never supply any sort of rebuttal that makes any cognitive sense. McShay has said the same thing I have. So has Louis Reddick and a bunch of other connected draft guys.

If you think Mendoza and Moore are more naturally talented than this kid then you shouldn’t be watching football.

I have watched him for two years and he would be my choice for QBs the go will actually transfer next year. He has all the tools to be a top QB at any level and he proved it two years ago. South Carolina just has a really bad offensive team around him this year and not the biggest mike shula fan when it comes to coaching

Really need Bain to finish the season strong, you have wr reverse passing the ball straight to him and he still cant make a play.. Dude is getting ran down or something..

I’ve watched every game Sellers has played last year and this year. He was better last year as he went on a bit of a hot streak near the end of the year but this year he was been absolutely atrocious.

He holds on to the ball way too long, is indecisive, has accuracy issues and when he makes a decision, it’s usually pretty bad.

I am not going to point to the statistics. You can look them up on your own but I am basing it on the 21 games I’ve watched him play the last 2 seasons.

If Nickel is a starter here, I am okay with another 1-year rental transfer to bridge to him (if they come in before spring). I would, however, prefer a 2-year starter for the next two years (great if it's Nickle)--I think the team could use some continuity. I also think a guy like JKS would be cheaper than a Sellers and put the money to use elsewhere

Not saying he will be but Nickel could be a 3-year starter 27-29

We’re likely not seeing Nickel this season. What’s the inside story? What does the staff think? Does he project as a starter at Miami? If so, at what point?

Given our pass protection, and what we have seen from Cam and Beck, a guy that excels LATE in the clock is actually a positive for me. AS LONG AS HE MAKES BIG PLAYS… that’s the part I question with Sellers.

I dont expect Mario to change our run game next yr. So we NEED a qb who will make explosive plays through the air. This year Beck legit looks worse when he has elite protection and can sit in the pocket >3s. If Sellers can just chill in the pocket make a guy miss and then give our WRs 4s to get open…. It can really work.

Sellers is all about potential. I personally wouldn’t risk going all in on him unless there really are no clear better options…

Well, that’s the thing. Gotta strike early on QBs.

We have waited until the last minute with QBs and lost WRs because of it.

Add in possible new OC and it will be a cluster **** again.

I am not giving Mario the benefit of the doubt on anything until proven otherwise. I am done with that in terms of just believing in him to get it right.

This time portal window is only 2 weeks. And it’s later. I don’t think it’ll be an issue this time around. Ward committed like 1/12. Beck committed like 1/9…. New portal window is 1/2-1/16…deadline to declare for draft is 1/15.

So I guess we will see.

The key to all this is Dawson. If he leaves, it will be interesting to see when he leaves. That could throw a wrench in the QB1 search.
