2026 Portal QBs

Don't disagree, but I am intrigued by Coleman's potential in a couple of years.

Just to be clear I mean if Longstreet enters we should move heaven and earth to get him as our starting QB next year. His talent is ridiculous. Giant risk handing the job to a guy with 15 college passes, but IMO that's a gamble worth taking considering Longstreet's talent.
If you take him, you MUST guarantee him nothing but a fair QB competition. Open it up & let someone win the job without prejudice.

I understand your logic/reasoning here, but this goes against what this staff has shown to be their MO. Mario and Co like transfer QBs with a lot of experience. I believe Cam and Carson combined for 11 seasons of CFB. This doesn't mean we won't go after this kid. History says we won't.
Correct. The difference between this year and the prior two is the QB portal talent pool. None of the top guys who went in the portal (Sorsby/Leavitt/Raiola/Hoover/Becht/Mestemaker) are close to Cam, and I think they're all below Mateer/Beck too.

I have trouble buying that we couldn't have had 1 of those top 6 guys signed/sealed/delivered by now had we wanted to. I suspect the guy we are trying to get is Simpson, and I would take him over Longstreet because I rate him higher than any of those top6 and he has experience (which Longstreet doesn't). But if he doesn't enter and Longstreet does, I would take Longstreet over any of those top6 guys.

Here's what I think ends up happening: We get Ty Simpson, Longstreet enters the portal and Lane gets him at LSU, Leavitt ends up Kentucky (already wrong here since UK flipped Minchey lmao), and Raiola at Oregon.

Silly & inaccurate comparison.
I made no comp between the two outside of being a general "douche"
And if you don't think that wasnt an issue at UGA you're simply wrong. Mario and this culture has helped him grow up a ton - he's said so a million times including in his Fiesta Bowl interview.
