As I watch more film on Brandon McCoy, the more I like him. I agree that his jump shot needs to improve but his ability to create a shot for himself and his teammates is something we currently don't have in Coral Gables

He’s the best defensive backcourt player to come out of high school in a long time. I’m sure he’s Jai’s top guy. He’d be my top guy without a jump shot

Losing Donaldson will be sad but a backcourt of Washington, Allen, Norvat and McCoy isn't that bad.
That would be a solid, 4 guard rotation.

Losing the NC State without your two best players will happen to 99% of college coaches.
It hasn't hurt recruiting as Mingo committed to them and I expect his brother to transfer from Penn State to Chapel Hill after the season.

He played an alright game, kinda blended in had some nice moments but had a run at the end to get his points up. To me the most impressive player on the court was their Sophomore Lowery, he’s a 5 star talent that we’re hopefully looking at too

Feels like Washington, Allen, Henderson and Gaskins will start with Norvat, Allen, Malovec and Altuntas leading the second unit
I wonder what Laboy, Kee and Maddox do as they haven't played much this season but that doesn't mean they can't play and contribute at this level.

I think the FSU situation is misleading.
The problem with this NIL era is that the media makes a big deal out of the $10M-$20M roster.
Truthfully, kids just want to get paid so it's not like kids aren't playing for $100K to $500k.
Every kid ain't getting $1M+.
I apologize for the poor English but you get the point.
FSU is bargain shopping and they are doing a good job to fill their needs with the resources they have.
I am not saying it's "Moneyball" but they are making the most out of the money they have.
