I don’t see them as similar. Fletcher is bigger and Mallory has more moves.I want to know his 40.
He is basically mark fletcher replacement.

An offense designed without explosive plays will fail. And idc what anyone says it was INCREDIBLY obvious in the summer that this offense was about to be completely incompetent at generating any explosive runs (and Beck has never been a big play guy!). Thank god Pringle has stepped up, he’s been key to u locking this offenses potential.Just when I'm convinced our fan base couldn't be more clueless I come to a thread like this where multiple people are complaining about our RB room... Some of y'all dudes REALLY don't comprehend what takes place on the field and what y'all are watching. While big plays are great, it's not always the purpose. #stayclassycanes #playoffs

If we aren’t going for RBs who can generate explosive runs - and I’m not talking about 50+ yard runs either, 10-20 yard runs - then the QB pick needs to be a playmaker who pushes the ball downfield and generates explosive plays through the air. But more importantly it needs to be a QB who Mario can’t possibly become ultra conservative with. Idgaf I never want to see an offense like we showed early this season of nothing but 3 yard runs up the A/B gap without play action and with a low Y/A out of the qb again. It’s ugly. And you ahoot yourself in the foot with any turnover or penalty
I have my doubt about Mallory, but don’t really care about long speed. If he can be like David Montgomery, I’d be incredibly happy. but no matter what our RB room next year can’t be Fletcher, Brown, Lofton, and Mallory lol. That’d be crazy
I agree 100%. The speed that is important in football is how quickly you cover 10 to 20 yards. An offense designed without explosive plays will fail. Right but what you said had nothing to do with plays and everything to do with the players. You say we don't have explosive backs which to an extent is true however the issue was the play calling not the players in those calls. If you're doing inside zone right and left or running off of somebody that's getting stunts continuously thrown at him and a weak guard and run blocking right next to him on obvious running downs I wouldn't give a f*** if you had Barry Sanders standing back there nine out of 10 that play is simply going to fail and any positive traction is a miracle in itself. Hence why I said from the beginning of the season up until the SMU loss that our run calling was atrocious. It had nothing to do with the facts we were calling running please and everything to do with we were running the same predictable nonsense over and over and over. That has nothing to do with Mark Fletcher who is pretty **** good with Marty Brown who is pretty **** good with Jordan Lyle who I have my questions about his vision but is the most explosive back we have when healthy or with Pringle who you may have noticed we continuously run outside with hence why we've been peeling off more explosive plays in the run game. I hate to tell you I'm not sure if you're aware or what anybody is running I don't know what Marty Brown runs but Mark Fletcher nowhere near slow Jordan Lyle nowhere near slow this was entirely on Shannon Dawson in his lack of creativity whether anyone wants to admit to that or not. I'd be perfectly happy going into next season having those backs however I happen to know we won't be. Mallory is someone I think can do extraordinary things if you put him in proper circumstances. Myself I'm still hoping to lane or Tulsa or whoever the **** it was is so desperate to take Shannon Dawson off our hands. But I at the very least hope Shannon Dawson has learned the strengths of our run game and how to employ it it's not simply a Gerard Pringle thing it's a Miami hurricanes thing. An offense designed without explosive plays will fail. All the HC jobs are currently filled. Tulane and Coastal made their HC hires already.Right but what you said had nothing to do with plays and everything to do with the players. Don’t forget Mark Walton and Thad Franklin. Just want to make sure we include them.Over the years we've seen Tyrone Moss and Duke Johnson show out in state championship games. If Mallory turns out to be anywhere between, we are in a good place.
I am well aware of Walton. Coached against him in a couple of themDon’t forget Mark Walton and Thad Franklin. Just want to make sure we include them.

It won’t be Fletcher Brown, Lofton and Mallory. A guy named Pringle will be there too.An offense designed without explosive plays will fail.
