He can actually be useful in the passing game. all practice reports were that he was excelling at RB. People are significantly overvaluing what Fletcher and Brown provide this offense. Now I'd argue it isn't Fletcher or Browns FAULT it is the coaches. Fletcher and Brown are nothing more than short yardage and goalline backs. They are NOT 100+ CARRY BACKS! Yet that is how they are being used. Lofton could fill fletchers roll and actually fill the role he should have! If we got a good portal RB + Pringle they could be the top 2 backs with Lofton filling the gadget and short yardage role as needed... And again be useful in the pass game which neither Fletcher/Lyle/Brown are. ..
I genuinely think going from Lofton getting half TE reps and Fletcher getting 160 carries (even while missing games!) to Lofton getting 80 carries and being a rotational te2-3 and starting FB would singlehandedly upgrade this offense AS LONG AS we add a top portal TE to the mic with Schott and Gilbert. With Pringle starting RB and a portal guy also in the mix....

Woah, TE is a position where I think you let the room playout. Schott, Lofton, Gilbert plus the two incoming kids. The room looks good, TE isn't a major priority (nor is it to Dawson apparently).
RB is interesting, I think Mario is content with Pringle and a Brown lead room. If Lyle sticks around great, if not we may add a back, but Pringle is the guy going forward I think

Dawson didn't use TEs in the last 5 of 6 games... Uh except for the fact we CONSTANTLY used 2 TEs and NEVER went 4 WR /10 personnel ever this season... We ask them to do a lot of blocking.
Yeah the RB position depends on Fletcher coming back in the sense that if he does we are going to have the same boring non explosive run game we had all yr...

Lofton was A) Horrible B) still better than Bauman.
This was legit the worst TE play we've had in a season since Irvin was the starting TE.
We 100% need portal TE and RB. And Fletcher and Bauman moving on will be a net positive when that happens

Mueller TE-5 (Primarily InLine)
Briggs TE-6 (Primarily Slot)
Freeing up Lyle+Fletchers NIL should be enough to pay for a TE-1 and Portal RB-1B for a guy moving up from G5 or low P4 Imo

Miami is 80th in the country in rushing. Longest run of the season was 30 yards. Lofton and Bauman ain’t it. Just look at those stats. Now shut yo dumb *** up.

Would gladly take Fletcher back. He hammers people. Same can be said about Brown who is faster and a better receiver. Pringle is playing well especially for a young guy.

Bro are you ******* stupid or what. The TE didn't started really getting used until about the 7th game. The running game was all on Mario n Dawson. Had nothing to do with our rbs. You noticed they changed the plays after the smu game. You should really pay attention. Had nothing to do with the players. You stupid af
