2026 4-star OT Ben Congdon commits to Miami

Met the Congdon family last night as they were walking past my tailgate. Ben, mom and grandparents. Super nice folks. I asked Ben when he was enrolling, and he said in January. This 6'8" young man isn't going anywhere but Coral Gables. And btw, he's every bit the height. I asked him point blank, and his grandfather said it in a blink of eye, 6'8" 285lbs.

Bumped to 129 player in Rivals class ranking. Interestingly Keenyi Pepe is at 258. One spot above Joel Ervin
Rivals/On3 never liked him. They do their own thing. Josh Moore was really high for them last year, for example.
Rivals had him at 63 before the merger (lower than most).

On3 has always been low like you mentioned, having him as low as #299 and #27 OT back in July. Not sure what he was when they merged but that 258 might even be a bump from them.

Do you know if on3 completely took over scouting from Rivals? It feels like it.

My understanding (could be wrong) was that On3 moved top 2 - Charles Power + Cody Bellaire to head Rivals scouting department while adding more hires for both scouting and continuing the Rivals Camp Series. All HS recruiting news, rankings, etc to the Rivals brand and keep On3 as college sports news platform.

How they went about merging the rankings and deciding that? I dont know cause off the top of my head Dereon Coleman, Jontavius Wyman and Pepe are some that were pretty high, like top 100 recruits for Rivals before the merger and have since suffered hits to their rankings.
