2022 4-star CB Little Jr. talks UM, connection with hometown

It's amazing how hiring one guy can change our recruiting dynamics. I'm so use to kids like this not even really entertaining the idea of going to UM. Now, the crib is where it's at lol
We signed J. Williams and L. Taylor just this year. And Banda and Stroud weren’t seen as T Rob level recruiters. Our issue was CB.

IMO 3 Corners & 2 Safeties.

Too early to guesstimate exactly who, but I know Earl Jr will be in this class.

Safety will be tough because we’re pretty loaded at Safety with 9 currently on the roster & at least 3 of them will be leaving after the 21 season, plus the 22 class is super Deep at Safety so it could come down to who they like or first come first serve. T-Rob’s evals at CB/S will be different than Banda/Rumph’s, so it remains to be seen exactly who they push for.

It’s Jan/Feb, NSD is in December. Literally 11 months in between now & then, a lot can & will happen during that time.
With our lack of depth at corner I think there's the minimum. We're looking at hopefully stevenson, couch, dunson, clarke and curtis. That's 5 assuming everyone comes back. I'd like kmauri rodgers, little and mullen and possibly one more. We need 8 cbs at least.

I think safety we could take one if we don't lose anyone to the portal. We could take 2 if we do lose someone to the portal. It's the deepest position on defense and we could use that extra spot for an extra defensive end or corner.

He could go to Gville and pay 5$ cover charges at fat daddys to have a life outside of a dorm so I guess that keeps them in the running as a school close to home.

Being in Gainesville was like watching that godawful M. Knight Shalalamalaya movie The Village. You're in something that feels like civilization, but at the same time you feel a billion miles from anywhere.

**** that movie sucked balls.

Why do you think manny didn’t give rumph that authority but gave it to t rob?
Who isn't here anymore? Banda was the lead recruiter for the secondary in South Florida. He was over Rumph. He wasn't just the Safeties coach. He was the HC of the secondary!

I think 2 is a good number because there are some ballers at safety this cycle. It may be one of those situations where we have X amount of guys that we are willing to take at S but if they go elsewhere we'll only take 1 and use the spots somewhere else. Max is 2 IMO. 3-4 CBs.

Me and his dad went to high school together and I have him on Facebook but I feel weird asking him about Jr. on there.

Normally I'd already chalk this up as a loss but with T-Rob on board I'm actually pretty optimistic.
Poor Rumph lol if he was still CB coach kid would’ve said I don’t necessarily need to stay local would love a new scenery.

Basically the kiss of death quote for a local kid.
