2018 WR Elijah Moore Western High

There should be a cap limit or rule for these private schools that poach local high schools talent. This is why you always see the same teams in state finals...

The rich get richer man.

Been very high on this kid. Had him in my database for a while now.

Take a look at Kevin Austin. North Broward Prep.

Kevin Austin was Elijah's teammate at Western before the season started. They were tearing it up together during 7-on-7's.

At least we didn't develop him for 3 years and THEN lose him. It hurts more when it happens that way. (I.E. Wade Freebeck)

Kinda crappy how the coaches found out though. The kid didn't tell anybody he was leaving, he just up and enrolled at STA. He was walking around STA and the head coach thought he was still enrolled at Western. Coaches found out through the kids.

Who does that?! LoL

Sure this staff is very aware of him. Previous staff would be, "WHO?" Then look at his film and decide he's too fast and athletic. Seriously how can you root for STA knowing they have an Hedge Fund Guy vs the poor advantage.

how would you propose doing that? All kids who excel at football can't transfer but everyone else on the football team, or just normal students, is free to go?

what he did was better than ive been seeing on twitter the last year....

the..

"I'm blessed to say that i've officially transferred to American Heritage/Miramar/Hallandale"..... like what? dude you aint committing to a school and who gives a f>>. i just saw it yesterday...with the kid posting a pic of the high school mascot and all...like he got a scholly offer...boy if u dont sit your lame a** down some where.

Is crazy how these kids want attention so bad...so much transfers already went down

Those are new school kids. Had a bunch of kids from 2000-2006 go to Pittsburgh, FIU, and other small schools. Crazy

Yeah, Jared Martin was a DT that went to Pitt just before I got there. (ended up moving to O-line at Pitt)

I don't think people realize how much QB and OL talent is in Western's boundary. It's pretty insane. Brandon Linder (Miami), Jon Feliciano (Miami) and Russell Haughton-James (West Virginia) technically should've all been on the same high school team. Brandon Doughty (WKU), Buckshot Calvert (Carol City), Wade Freebeck (Vanderbilt), Tyler Monaco (2500 yards passing this season), Jake Ruddock (Michigan), Kole Stealy (Chaminade) and Gunnar Holcolmbe (Marshall) are just a handful of QB's that came from Western's boundaries within the last few years.

With QB and OL talent like that coming through your school on a regular basis all you need is a few decent skill kids and you'll win some games. Shoot, the skill kids will want to come anyway. Keeping them at Western is the problem. (always has been)

Jared is my boy. Played at western from 2002-2006. You coach with Dutton at Cypress?

Doesn't help when it's promoted... IMG_2641.webp

i told you Macho.......and to SOUTH BROWARD of all places??

Makes absolutely no sense at all....but i told you its currently being promoted...kids making official post and all...like its a scholly offer..and getting congrats from other students, etc... dude literally had im blessed to say im transferring to american heritage.

Blu might be excited though cause he really is a south broward guy.....he's from the hollywood/hallandale area....he always promotes Broward (South broward).

But this recent South Broward transfer thing is crazy...as no one usually transfers their. They are sort of like Western where they usually lose their area kids to Hallandale, STA, or Chaminade. Someone gonna look into it as promoting it aint gonna help....i dont know if the coach or whomever realizes that they are a public school....Heirtage/sta/U SCHOOL can post stuff like that...these kids better have addresses, etc that sets up

Can't believe this kid is only a sophomore. Very talented.

Hope he doesn't turn out to be another U hating, South Florida diva.

No clue Kyle and they probably will never be able to control it. STA goes out and recruits other high schools, approaches these kids and their parents, gives them a "scholarship" to private school and away these kids go. The local school (i.e. Western, Piper, etc...) cant compete with that, loses the local kid who lives in that " school zone" and that's that. I know because I know multiple players that's happened with.

All im saying is it would be interesting to see if they could someone control or cap it because its getting ridiculous.
