Clearly Russell is out the door. Not sure this concerns me, save for the following:

1. Pete has been pretty adamant that the staff highly, highly values Russell in this class.
2. Does this mean that RB Davis should also be on flip watch?
3. I really hate losing recruits to UF, especially DB's. It just builds that DB U narrative they keep pumping.

Why do so many UM fans assume that UM has to take every prospect from a HS or we'll wind up with none? What is the genesis of this devout facquitry?

In all seriousness, I think that Tyreke wants to play cornerback and our staff sees him at safety. His speed may be an issue, if I recall. That might be the reason why they like Bethel better... Purely as a corner?

His film shows he is very raw. He's just an athlete right now because he doesn't have much defensive film or highlights.

Most of his highlights are on returns and screens showing his speed and twitch. Seems like he's someone who has the length to be a very good corner as it seems like the staff has taken a liking into his physical ability and thinks he will project as a nice long term project here at DB. Maybe a diamond in the rough so to speak.
