Only Martin in year one cobbling a class together is understandable.

Only bringing in Ford in 2017 is unacceptable and total mismanagement of the position. Especially when you take into consideration Courtel Jenkins transferred out of the program, Moten is a senior, and both McIntosh/Norton would be draft eligible with the potential to leave.

And we got lucky the school ruled Gerald Willis ineligible because there were rumors he would bolt as well

I dont get why kool aint getting on chatman. I know they might be salty from the first time around but the dude is out there and they could probably get him.

If we have any less than 2 true frosh, and some combination of 2 juco/transfer we are vulnerable for both 2018 and 2019 at the DT position, assuming norton and mcintosh go pro.

And one of the juco/transfer needs to be productive this season, the other is for quality of depth so we arent running an under developed true freshmans out there.

I'm a big fan of this staff.

That said, how did we get here? How did this happen?

We got Martin in year 1, as Richt cobbled together a class, and that's understandable, that's OK. But our DT recruiting this and last cycle is confounding. Ford and Nesta? Two studs, but that's it? With a DLine coach with one of the most stellar reputations in the business? Coaching for a DC that values aggressive line play? Why is this so hard? What is happening?

They are doing what is best for the families, please respect their decisions.

Add a DE to that as well. We will only have 3 quality Des in the rotation next year unless Patchan moves back.

Still thin as we will lose DJack and most likely JJ the next year.

We need 3 and 3 IMO. ROuseeau, Chatfield and that JUCO kid we can freed today. NEsta, Briggs( if he stops acting the fool) and maybe that Carson kid who reminds me of RJ would be a great haul and we'd be all set for 18 and beyond as we already have two DT commits in 19.

Briggs likes the idea of playing some DE. Sign him, Carson, Thompson along with Nesta and Briggs play inside and out like Christian Wilkins and Demarcus Walker

Then we should be telling him that. I think he can play some end in our base packages stout in the run game on 1st and 2nd and kick him inside on 3rd downs.

We will see this January...They botched DT so far, and at this point we are behind on all those players, except silver, and possibly Carson.

They botched the qb recruiting and landing an elite one pretty quickly in Jarren Williams
 
Time to replace Kool and Rumph if coach Richt doesn’t fix this soon he’ll be next on the chopping block
