2018-2019 Schedule

Texas Tech is playing Memphis in another game at the AAA. Someone needs to ask Coach L why we're the only team playing a crap opponent.

The OOC is atrocious. If we only scheduled 1-2 teams with a ******* pulse, it would be nice.

It could be worse, we could be Wake Forest. They're playing no one. Even Pitt got someone and they're trying to play themselves out of Division I.

It's a perfectly reasonable question for L. Regardless of RPI implications, with the current OOC schedule there is no reason for a casual fan to pay attention until ACC play starts. When you're dealing with a generally apathetic fan base to begin with, it becomes a bigger problem.

Why in the world did we draw Rutgers? They're a perennial bottom feeder, while we've been a top 5 ACC team nearly every season over the last few years.

You can add Vandy to the list of teams playing at the Hoophall who would have been more interesting opponents than Yale.

Rutgers finished 15-19 but ended the season on an uptick in terms of beating Indiana and playing Purdue down to the wire. I'm sure they'll be picked to win more than 3 Big Ten games this season. They hvea good coach. In other words, just the kind of team you DON'T want on your OOC schedule. Beat them, no big deal. Lose to them, a catastrophe.

La Salle (2:30 PM Thanksgiving Day) to open the Wooden Legacy. Either Northwestern or Fresno State for game two.

Tournament Bracket:

The OOC schedule gets even worse.

Game One: So our opening game is against a team that went 13–19 (7–11) last year.

Game Two: We then follow that up (assuming we win) with a game against one of:

Northwestern 15–17 (6–12)

or

Fresno State 21–11 (11–7)

*Fresno State has a new coach (Justin Hutson)

---------------------

The teams with an actual pulse are on the OTHER side of the bracket.

Seton Hall 22–12 (10–8)

* Three straight NCAAT appearances

Utah 23–12 (11–7)

*Larry Krystkowiak is a good coach

At some point you have to think this is intentional.

Of course it is intentional. We can't even go undefeated against our weak OOC schedule. Why would we want to add a couple more losses prior to ACC play. As long as we do well in ACC play we will be a high seed in the tourney regardless of our OOC schedule.
