Rick's salary isn't listed because he gets paid in the collective tears of the college football world as they're forced to begin to realize that the sleeping giant is starting to wake.

Holy crap, head coach of coastal Carolina pulling 400k a year?

man I should have been a head coach

A lot of thieves on that list.
Kirk Ferentz making $4.5mill a year with a $22million dollar buyout is First Degree Robbery.

In the grand scheme of things, I agree. Having said that, who heard of Iowa before him? He's had them in the thick of the Big10/11 battle and is typically good for one big upset every year or two. Considering the state they are in for recruiting and whatnot, I would say he's a boost to their program. He must like it there as he does well considering the schools competitive disadvantage.

Hayden Frye?

To be fair, when Constaza squinted like that, he could see anything 20/20 from any distance.

Brett Bielema at 4.2M and Butch Jones at 4.1M is just robbery, but ****ing Dan Mullen at 4.5M and Rich Rod at 6M is a travesty. Dudes on here really wanted Dan Mullen at the price of 4.5 MILLION to be a 7-5 coach? WORD? PAY ME 4.5 MILLION TO BE A 7-5 COACH PLEASE. Who is Rich Rod's agent? How did he get this dude 6M off 1 good year followed by a 3-9 campaign?

Yeah, well FSU and UF are taking it up the pooper this season for sure.

Every agent in the country can thank Butch Davis for ******* Miami over for these massive buyouts.

No one wanted to be in that spot in a major programs.

Am I correct is assuming that the buy-out figures they list are assumptions based on their current salaries? There's now way Kentucky is paying Stoops a 14mil buy-out if they can him....right??

You know he's a decent coach right? And he's smart as ****. He was CEO of Ameritrade (TD Ameritrade) at one point. He was making close to $21 million a year when he stepped away from the corporate business world. When he was CEO of Ameritrade they grew their market cap from $700 million to $10 billion..... This isn't some random idiot coaching Coastal Carolina. He's something like 51-15 in six seasons at Coastal Carolina and was FCS Head Coach of the year in 2015.

Lol at the myth that Dan Mullen wasn't hired here because of his personality. Donna probably offered him $8 and hour plus tips. No way in **** they were going to shell out 4.5 mil for a coach at that time.

Ferentz has value to Iowa because of his track record. No, they haven't won anything of significance but he's kept a program that should be straight garbage competitive for years now. They obviously feel like finding a replacement that will still win 8 games a year and occasionally flirt with a big10 title would be nearly impossible.

Man I stayed up too late drinking last night, so I got a little case of the bubble guts. You nearly made things real awkward in my office.

For real? That doesn't even make sense.

Dude should've bought his own NFL team and coached it.
