Its a game for some kids to see how many offers they can land. Not to say the kid doesn't want to be a Cane in the end, but I've heard from a few kids that the number of offers is a status symbol. That being said, kid looks like a good athlete. Interested to see how he develops in the fall. Welcome to the !!

I dont agree, theres kids on the 16 group that are truly committed, this guy just sets a bad tone and example that others will eventually mimic because theres no repercussion

Point taken, but here's reality: we are going to lose some kids anyway. FSU, Ohio State, USC, Alabama, they all get decommits. And there is no repercussion for any of them. It's not like Golden can send Jason Geathers to his house with a baseball bat or some ****. If we do a good job recruiting him, the recruitment will stick. If not, he will go elsewhere.

I watched him at the B2G 7on7 last year and he was one of the most impressive players there.

Didn't know who he was but he stood out on a field of 4 and 5-stars.

Not sure if this is done already (probably not..), but Golden needs to get the ENTIRE class of 16 commits, and maybe another 5 that are seriously seriously considering Miami and have a very blunt conversation with them telling them that the talent they have together is enough to sky rocket this program. Needs to build camaraderie within the class so they all feel like a part of something special and don't flip at the end of the recruiting season as we've become pretty accustomed to over here.

This is something so obvious to say, but if it isn't already being done he needs to do it yesterday.

Even the kids that are "truly committed" now will still take visits. A lot of kids that commit this early, to miami or whatever school, have the same mindset as Gil but they just don't say it publicly.
