Out of Gulliver Prep

Here is what Blustein said about him before last year

"Dominic Sheppard, LB, 6-2, 200, Gulliver Prep: Here is the one player - who flew under the radar nationally - in the off season, but when all is said and done, this may be one of the top defensive prospects anywhere in the county. A big, fast and athletic play-maker!"

Good lord the talent down here the next two years is ridiculous.

This guy was walking around yesterday and I thought he was a college player. Big, big guy.

D$ drop some thoughts on us from the SFE yesterday. Always like to hear your pov. thanks

Honestly, I got there a bit late and spent most of my time walking around, talking or watching Lane. Pete's writeup will have more info: http://canesinsight.com/showthread.php/48763-South-Florida-Express-Tryout-Observations

I do have to say that Sony Michel and Quincy Wilson were very impressive physically. Wilson in particular is growing quickly, reminds me of Kacy Rodgers from strictly a size perspective.

I cringed a little at the Kacy Rodgers name drop. I know you were just comparing from a size perspective. But, the lack of an offer so far has me concerned that maybe the coaches see a prospect similar to Kacy, that has a mix of physical attributes to play CB or S, but doesn't completely fit well into either

Random question but are we ever going to be able to embed these Hudl highlights? Not a big deal of course but that site is really blowing up it seems and their highlights are top notch. Just curious.

Quincy is all safety. Have said it for awhile, dude is huge. Appreciate the info D, didnt see pete's thread til after

Agree skyman. Quincy looks like he has a better chance at playing linebacker than CB. Kid is big and loves getting physical.

Just curious, we've apparently made it obvious we don't want Quincy at CB which it seems is where he wants to play, but if he would be more open to play safety, would we be on him more? Doesn't seem like an offer is coming either way, but is it more because of the position disagreement or the staff just not wanting him in general?

If the staff truly wanted him at S, they would've pursued him regardless of what position he said he wanted to play. I don't think our staff wants him

The staff is very high on him but I am not a huge fan. When I saw him against good competition he didn't play well. I expected him to be a monster just off of shear size but he doesn't play as big as he is. The game against Westminster Irvin and Cronkrite ran through him.

With the offensive side of 2015 looking bright, anybody got an update on this kid. Seems to have the measurables and size to be a good ILB for the 3-4.
