why is this class lacking in comparison to the 2014 and 2016 classes? cant afford to have an average class. love the top half of the class but the bottom of the class is lacking.

we need DTs and LBs badly. CB too but I feel like we will finish strong there.

DTs, elite ones don't seem to want to play here right now. Don't expect any studs for the foreseeable future unless we find some in super agreeable circumstances (i.e. Moten at STA).
LBs, it seems like it's a relatively down year in South Florida given that Kilby-Lane never gave us a shot. We'll see on Coney but I don't see a difference maker there. Maybe Sapp will be this year's surprise.
CB - idk wtf we're doing.

We lack in some areas but are great in others... RB class in a once a generation, OL class is solid, and great QB. Elite S in Jaquan... That being said, still waiting on DT and CB to fill this class... Still time, wait till Feb!

not a lot of DT's down here this year so we've gotta really reach. down year for LB's only really need a couple solid prospects to add depth. and at DB we'd be legitimately retarded too not get a few studs in this years south florida class.

I do not like this class at all. Maybe six or seven players. Overall it sucks right to me. JMO

RB is elite.

OL is very good.

QB is very good but not a need.

Everything else average at this point.

It's pretty clear that as long as Coley is here, we're going to have an elite offensive roster. I've written off any reasonable shot to land a blue chip d tackle. So, my concern is db -- specifically, corner. This class needs a couple elite corners.

I like our TE Juco one looks great than you add the 6ft6 prospect RS him. Didn't Njoku get RS and moved to LB? Wouldn't be shocked if some other athletes get moved to LB example Gray. By the time he is a senior he could be 240 and can fly to the ball. Just example not saying its going to happen but this kind of stuff happens all the time. Another one that could be moved is Carter he is big and fast too

This class could turn around very quick with a few defensive additions.

Guys who I think we land, if this staff can finish strong
DT Kendrick Norton 4 star
WILL Quarte Sapp 4 star
MLB Tevon Coney 4 star (I think we can flip him)
CB Tim Irvin 4 star
CB Marcus Lewis 4 star
CB DaVante Davis 4 star
S Ben Edwards 4 star

Right now the class has half studs and half roster fillers.

If we close on 2 or 3 of the CBs we're in on (Irvin, Davis, Davis, Lewis) and pull a couple DTs, this class will be good.

The decommitment of Claude George was a big loss for this class because we need immediate help at LB with the loss of Perryman, Armbrister, Figs, and Blue. We were already thin there.

To be fair, I've heard the "roster filler" argument for three years. And on Saturday, if you switched uniforms with the team full of studs, I would not have questioned that the team full of roster fillers was considered one of the most talented in the country. We have to hit on guys like Cook and Rudolph more often than not, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of the 2015 roster fillers to whom you refer end up validating their offers.

You are overrating our OL haul extremely right now. Get America or someone as good and drop somebody outside of Milo and St Louis and then we are talking. Also a good QB recruit every cycle is a need, to think otherwise is foolish.

Scarlett is the only difference maker I see in this class, as it is now. A lot can change between now and signing day and I hope we start getting some momentum on bigger names.

I like the potential of a lot of guys in the class, but it's going to be like the last couple of classes where it'll be a couple years before they're ready to start making an impact.

Merrick will be in this class.
