2015 Class: 22 commits so far...

Jaquan Johnson. The Franchise. The Duke Johnson of the 2015 class. Cane lock.

UF leads.

You think Golden's refusal to hire his buddy, the man charge of the worst defense seen at Miami in over 30 years, has anything to do with it?

You're going to look pretty foolish when in 2021 Dorito has things humming and Miami is churning out top 80 defenses every year.

Well I have to say IMO, WR and DB are HUGE dissapointments. I mean there is so much dam talent at these two positions, and we don't have any of them! HB will be the best position in this class.
I swear if we lose SBB, Ridley, Irvin, and JJ....That would just be weak.

Terrible excuses... You don't think Bama faces negative recruiting? Self imposed scholly limit? What's does that have to do with losing studs? If I only have 10 scholly's I'm going after 20 studs... We missed out... Fan support? Broken relationships by previous staff? It's 4 freaked years later... Didn't Cook take an Arky visit? I went to South Plantation and believe me RS played a role with Collins... How does bad relationships effect losing Amari Cooper? And grades is BS issue... For 3 consecutive years we took Angelo-Louis, Derrick Griffen, and Gray... All grade casualties... They took their commitments when everyone knew the weren't coming(Gray pending)... Come on those are some lame excuses... Speaking about bad relationships, Golden isn't loved by everyone in south Florida either so don't make it seem like he's cleaning up anything, because there was nothing to clean... Coaches down here complain...

If you get the number 1 cb and number 1 wideout all of those excuses go out the window... Those excuses was nonexistent for both coley and Howard...

So despite the issues that Miami has faced over the years, this staff has still managed to pull in more top South Florida than Florida, FSU, Alabama, LSU, and Louisville combined. Yes this staff has missed on some very important kids, but of all these kids only one was just a clear ***** up by this staff (Travis Rudolph). Miami was in the top 2 until the very end for at least 75% of all of these kids, I really don't know what more you expected.

Issues this staff has faced
  1. 3 years of NCAA investigation
  2. Negative recruiting from every school in the country
  3. Limited scholarships (This staff stated multiple times, that they were self imposing scholarships)
  4. Admissions (several studs were not offered simply because this staff knew they would not make it in)
  5. Lack of fan support (Kids don't want to play in a empty stadium)
  6. Broken relationships by previous staff (We all know this staff had to spend the first two years repairing relationships because the previous staff simply neglected them)
  7. Lack of competitive facilities (Miami was miles behind every major program in terms of facilities when this staff arrived)

I've been pretty fair in praising the good gets of this class throughout this thread. Therefore I feel justified in reminding everyone that this was supposed to be the class without a cloud or handcuffs.

Yup. I remember there being optimism that this could be the best class yet under Golden a few months ago. It's out to a disappointing start and there doesn't seem to be any positive momentum on the horizon, at least in the near future. Can't sugar coat it.

- Don't feel good at all about our current OL class.
- The RBs are obviously outstanding, but the one with the highest ceiling will likely flip and he's the most dynamic, explosive playmaker who's currently committed. Would be a big blow to lose him, even with two other great backs on board, because he'd bring a different home-run element to our backfield.
- After failing to land former "strong UM leans" Ridley and SBB, the news that T-Rob is developing a solid relationship with Irvin and Quan is concerning. He has a dominant recent track record against us in recruiting battles these past couple years.
- Doesn't look like we're going to land any of the elite in-state WRs for the second year in a row.
- After only landing Mayes in the last cycle and seeing Fitzpatrick/Lewis/Cole all committed elsewhere right now, there has to be legitimate concern about our ability to recruit top-tier corners to play in this defense.
- DTs???

It's obviously still early, but the early returns aren't what many hoped they would be.

Everything is happening
