2015 Class: 22 commits so far...

When it all shakes out, I'd expect this class to be close to 25. We'll end up taking more than three this year, and there will be enough attrition to take close to a the full 25.

if i had to categorize our class this is the way i would put it. overall im very happy but this is Miami and we need some blue chip Prospects.

Recruits I love:
RB: Dexter Williams, Jordan Cronkrite
TE: Bowman Archibald
OT:Tyler Gauthier
DE: Scott Patchan, Jamie Gordinier
OLB: Charles Perry

Recruits I accept:
QB: Dwayne Lawson
Kevin Feder
K: Drew Galitz

Recruits that were Reaches:
WR: Emonee Spence
DT: Ryan Fines
Hayden Mahoney

On offense I need Miami to pull Pette,Durante, and Clarington and I need them to flip Scarlett and Ridley ASAP !!!!!

I somewhat agree, but I think I'd bump up Lawson/Galitz into the "Recruits I love" category, and Spence (and maybe Fines) into the "Recruits I accept" category. I think all of those kids will develop as Seniors and with nice seasons may get ranked higher by the services.

I'm not sold on Mahoney at all and I think he's currently a reach, but his 6'5/270 frame isn't terrible, and if he can be developed...he could be good.

We are worries about our kicker flipping, lol man I feel some kinda way about that.. Mean while it honestly is difficult to judge the quality or lack there of of these commits. I know (myself included) we want higher quality kids. My thoughts is I think we are getting what we can get in hopes of closing strong and building around the work horses

Not worried whatsoever about a kicker flipping...

Was merely clarifying the possibility to the poster who asked about it.

It will be a FULL class anybody that says it's not, doesn't know what they are talking about. Scholarship reductions are off the full roster not scholarships

Where do the available scholarships come from? France or the full roster?

Jaquan Johnson
Tim Irvin

I think will be CANES in the end.

Nice breakdown, 850Cane, even though I feel differently about the class thus far.

The lack of headlining talent outside of the Top 3 (Williams, Cronkrite, and Perry, IMO) is concerning, especially since the best player is expected to flip. Landing top-shelf, blue-chip talent is ultimately what matters far more than anything else in recruiting and that's where we're currently lacking.

Some may point to the current class ranking (10th) on 247 as evidence that some are unjustified in being concerned at the quality our current class, but that ranking is largely a result of quantity. The number to look at is the average star rating (cue the "stars don't matter" crew). Out of teams currently ranked in the top 30 for this cycle, 23 teams have a higher average star rating. Many of those teams have just as many four-star commits as we do at this point, but they have fewer total commitments right now.

The good news is that there's still a ton of time to improve this class. Outright panic would certainly be an overreaction in mid-June, but I don't think concern is unwarranted.

College teams can have 85 full scholarship players on roster, Miami has reduction of 3 per year. So Miami can only have 82 scholarship players for the next 3 seasons.... FULL CLASS
