2015 Class: 22 commits so far...

Charles Perry for both. I don't see any impact players on that list yet. I think Perry will develop into a nice player for us though.

I don't understand how u ppl are so blind to talent!! How can u look at this list with Cronkite and dexter Williams both on it and say it has no playmakers. At a minimum those two right there are play makers and no one can deny that. And I have not watched any film on quentez Johnson but if he wasn't a playmaker on the defensive side of the ball then he would not have offers from the likes of LSU and Bama and FSU and us! So plz stop with this no playmaker bull ****. Go canes!

That comment was made before Cronkrite and Williams committed to us. at the time I would have agreed because I think Perry is very underrated

Get it together man

OT: Kevin Feder, Hayden Mahoney

These Guys need to be replace by better talent IMO but the class is good overall.

While I agree about Mahoney, Feder is a good player and is only gonna get better his senior year. Michigan State has offered him so that should tell you that the kid can ball

My analysis of class so far...

Jordan Cronkrite: Kids a workhorse and a **** of a player. Probably could play both sides of the ball but I don't know where the coaches want him. Also love how he's representing his city well and trying to get others to do the same. Fantastic Get!

Dexter Williams: Our best commit currently in my opinion. Kid can flat out ball and will be a big time impact player when he gets here. Hope we can fend off other schools until signing day though. Fantastic Get!

Scott Patchan: Love how he followed in his dads footsteps and is another great player, I think he will have a breakout senior year and people will realize just really how good he is. Great Get!

Kevin Feder: Kid has some top notch offers and is underrated in my opinion. He will have a good senior season in my opinion and his stock will rise. Good Get!

Charles Perry: One of my favorite recruits in this class. Kid is seriously underrated and sometimes a lot of us forget about him because he committed to us so long ago. Going to bring another playmaker to that linebacker corps. Great Get!

Bowman Archibald: Offer list speaks for itself, kid can ball and has all the makings of becoming one of the next great tight ends at the U. Fantastic Get!

Leeward Brown: Another underrated recruit in my opinion, kids got the size and determination to be a great player for us. Might need a few years to continue to develop his game though. Good Get!

Quentez Johnson: I mean he's a DT!!!! What else needs to be said lol. But on a serious note has a great offer list and it looks like were gonna need him to come in and contribute next year if history repeats itself meaning lack luster D-line performance (fingers crossed it wont). Fantastic get!

Hayden Mahoney: I will admit that I am not the most thrilled about this pick-up yet. I am not gonna write this kid off yet though because we have yet to see how he does in his senior year. For now i'm gonna give the staff the benefit of the doubt on it. Suspect get.

Emonee Spence: We were one of the first big schools to offer and now this kid is blowing up with SEC offers and etc. I think he will eventually become a 4 star player and i'm excited about his potential. Hope we can hang on to him. Great get!

Ryan Fines: Another one I am not too excited about but again lets wait to see how his senior year plays out. Hope he proves me wrong. Suspect Get

Overall decent start to class, I think if we can reel in Jaquan, Irvin, Clarington, Cole, and a few others that this class will be solid. Maybe SBB and Ridley change their minds so you never know. Overall Grade: B range. Could be a lot better but i'm satisfied for the moment. Can't wait for the season to start.

Relax these rankings are going to change before the season starts and they will change two more times after that.
This class has 6 four stars when the updated rankings come out based on their offer list and camps right now IMHO
Quentez Johnson, Jordan Cronkrite, Dexter Williams, Scott Patchan, Bowman Archibald, Charles Perry
AND these kids have a good shot at being ranked higher too
Emonee Spence, Kevin Feder
EIGHT out of the 11 current commits might be 4*'s before the season begins.
WE MIGHT ALSO SEE Mr. Dexter Williams get a fifth star fwiw

It's shaping up to be another strong class top to bottom, like last year's.

I hope we continue to pepper in the elite talents, too.

This may have already been covered in here somewhere, but have we done our best version of math on class size for 2015? 20-22 kids?

If we hold on to these 11, I want Cole, Clarington, J. Johnson, and Tim Irvin. All seem realistic at this point, although Lord knows somebody down south will sneeze, and it'll all go to ****.

But that's 15. Then give me a top end LB, WR, Corner, DE, and Wimbush. Twenty. And I'm happy as a pig in ****.

Solid writeup. Another thing to take into consideration is that this class seems to be what Golden wants as a "Depth" class. Its gonna be really hard to get 5* talent at the following positions: WR, DB, S, QB, and DE/OLB.

We are stacked, young talent wise, at these positions. How can you tell Calvin Ridley that he will come in and not RS when he knows that Coley is our "guy", Waters is solid, Lewis is turning the corner and getting back to form, DJones has come alive, and we got Berrios and Brady waiting in the wings. Esp when he can go to ALA and basically be the #1 guy as soon as Cooper leaves.

**** DB might be worse. You got a guy like Corn Elder, who is a board favorite, who might not get any serious run until his Jr year at that DB spot.

Once we start winning ships again, kids wont mind sitting the bench and waiting there turn like the old days (whens the last time you watched a UM game from 2000 or 2001? You want to feel sick? Look at some of the guys holding a helmet and standing on the sidelines! Littered with future 1st rounders.)

This is a good start to the class. The "superstuds" will round out the class once they see we arent going to **** the bed this season and go 6-6. (fingers crossed)

being able to SHIRT guys is KEY.Growing up in s.fla their was a stigma that REDSHIRTING is bad to recruits..it meant you werent good enough. (i know my friends and other recruits thought of it htis way) But how many countless guys we had we wished had redshirt early on and developed.

*Corn Elder is eating someones minutes THIS yr not JR Year.....they couldnt keep him off the field this yr.
*Bama's wr's havent impressed me in awhile..any s.fla recruit they get at that spot ...logs minutes or starts from day one.

[Older post with an update]

Let's say 20-23 is the number, here is the current list of commitments:

QB:

RB: Dexter Williams and Jordan Cronkrite

WR: Emonee Spence

OL: Leeward Brown, Kevin Feder and Hayden Mahoney

TE: Bowman Archibald

DE: Scott Patchan

DT: Ryan Fines and Quentez Johnson

LB: Charles Perry

CB:

S:
-------------------------------------------
Assuming we take 11-13 more players (my guess of how the following 11-13 more players breaks down)

1-2 QB (Need to get rid of dead weight IMO, please leave Crow)
0-1 RB (If both stick, I probably would use the ship somewhere else especially if Gray enrolls now)
2 WR
1 TE
1 DT (Must Be Elite)
1 DE (Must Be Elite)
2 LB
2 CB
2 S

I gotta respectfully disagree with you on this one bro..I love Elders upside too but unless someone gets injured (which DEF could happen) I dont see him over-taking Ant Crawford for that 4th DB spot. (Assuming the top 3 of Howard, Burns, Gunter are already locked in) I would love to be wrong just so Al gets it through these guys heads that nobodys spot is safe.

Agree or disagree?

QB: Dwayne Lawson
RB: Dexter Williams, Jordan Cronkrite
WR: Emonee Spence
TE: Bowman Archibald

Once we get 1 or 2 more solid receivers you can say that the offensive skill positions have been addressed pretty **** well. Assuming they all stick of course.
