2015 Class: 22 commits so far...

People do not realize how good Archibald is going to be. The staff is ecstatic about his commitment. Golden said that is a kid that normally goes to the SEC and flourishes but now we are back to getting those type of kids.

People will always ***** about something!!! If Miami wins games they should win 4-5* players will come. I also believe they are playing the waiting game to add some drama. NSD isn't for another 11 months so lets not judge yet.

If Archibald is on Defense he is the best pick up.

So far i love Charles Perry's film...kid is athletic as all ****, and we need that jolt of athleticism and speed on defense imo. We have too many high 4.7-4.8 speed lbs logging minutes for a Miami defense.

Thats from just a talent perspective of who i like so far.(Archibald,Perry).

But if we just go on my bias i like Leeward Brown's commitment moving forward. Reason being he is no way shape or form a Kehoe prospect before in my opinion back in the day. We got a big boned kid that is strictly a GUARD...your not trying him out here or placing him there...fat man is gonna sit at right guard for 4 years and blow sh*t up. He is also from my Miramar area, that now all of a sudden has become a pipeline, which is good as the school is loaded with talent down the pike.
Leeward should shirt freshman yr to lose weight and get conditioning up...and then we unleash that kid as a redshirt freshman in the rotation @ 325 + pds

More two and three stars than a strip mall with a bunch of cheap Chinese to-go joints.

How about a mall with a bunch of Chinese strip joints...I've never seen a "Chinese" strip joint but there's a dearth of good strip joints where I live in the Washington DC area. There used to be some good ones....and all the brothels seem to have imported Koreans.

Where are the good old days?

There's still time. Does anyone really think that Golden won't **** this up?

Let's get some four-five stars on that list

Why are people so infatuated with Stars. the kids film tells everything.

Quick Fact: Top 10 2014 Draft Talent
Johnny Manizel: 2 star
Kahlil Mack: 2 star
Blake Bortles: 3 star
Eric Ebron: 3 star
Justin Gilbert(top cb in draft) : 3 stars
aaron donald: 3 stars

i will gladly take a kid: like Jalean Perkins Orlando Olympia DB 6-0 170 no stars (Miami only offer so far) who on film looks like he runs a 4.2 and makes plays.

Perry or Archibald for both, everyone else are projects I'm tired of taking, this class is shaping up to be horrible, I hope some big time players with connections can turn it around, if not, this year will be a major setback. A little off topic, but I question what is Golden's recruiting philosophy other than recruiting Jersey, does he go for size, speed or what. We are good at evaluating DEs but why bring in DE's that fit a 4-3 perfectly for example.

Demetrius Jackson never even put pads on this time last year and is now a superstar here but you're tired of "projects" even though its March 11 months before they sign?

He ain't pretty but I really like Ryan Fines. He could be an absolute bull by the time he graduates. Perry is an obvious choice but I like Fines a lot.

Emonee Spence looks like Travis Rudolph in the early stages last year. He has the potential to pick up stars on the 7 v 7 circuit.

I understand people want the stars, but I think part of getting us back to the U of old is bringing in kids who actually want to be Canes. I think these kids are a solid start. Every program needs these kind of kids on the team to succeed.

This is a good point, but our biggest issue is redshirting.I'll put blame on the coaches, but we as fans don't like to wait for development. I had Jones written off at wr, but he redshirted like all the good teams do and he's turned out well.Butch had success because alot of those kids were redshirted.

WR: Emonee Spence
TE: Bowman Archibald, Trevill Holcy
OT: Kevin Feder
OG: Leeward Brown
DT: Ryan Fines
OLB: Charles Perry

2 questions:

Who's your favorite?

Who makes the biggest impact?

Perry is my favorite but I think he ends up flipping. Big Leeward Brown would be my next favorite.

Biggest impact will be Archibald followed by Fines.

Maybe slightly off topic, but I love that Spence and Holcy, who both hold SEC offers, have this board rustled. If Spence was committed to Auburn and Holcy to Ole Miss or Tennessee, everyone on here would be ****ED we were letting the SEC come down to the "State of Miami" and take kids.

If these kids you're porstin about were elite prospects, you'd be correct.

Spence is an average possession WR. There's at least 7 or 8 WRs in S FL I'd take before him. If u want to include Tampa then there's close to 10 WRs I'd take before him.

Holcy is a project and at this stage, a huge reach at WR or TE.

Emonee Spence looks like Travis Rudolph in the early stages last year. He has the potential to pick up stars on the 7 v 7 circuit.

Completely different WRs. Rudolph is a legit #1 and Spence is a possession guy IMO.

If you're talking strictly ratings, please disregard my porst.

Please list all the 2 and 3 star recruits Golden and his staff have developed that are comparable to the players you listed.

Perry is the answer and it is not that close. Archibald will do exactly what he was brought into do which is be a blocking TE. Guarantee in 3 years people will be crying and calling him a JAG because he isn't catching many passes even though that is not what he was recruited to do.

Quick fact:

Percentage wise, every level of the star rating is dramatically higher in representation in all americans, national award winners, first round draft picks, and pro bowls than the star level below it when studied over multiple years instead of cherry picking examples.

We will absolutely not, in the current climate of recruiting and technology for exposure, be better off long term loading up on 2 and 3 stars than 4 and 5 stars. I am glad that you can come up with a few examples out of the thousands every year, but you are simply ignoring the statistics and taking outliers.

That said, it is too early to worry about the stars next to these kids names, as there is plenty of time for that to change.

Emonee Spence looks like Travis Rudolph in the early stages last year. He has the potential to pick up stars on the 7 v 7 circuit.

I may have to go back and look at Spence's highlights, but from what I remember, Rudolph's junior film was amazing. He looked electric and everybody felt we had a steal in him...before he blew up.

I don't get the same feeling from Spence's highlights.

Perry's my favorite 2015 commit we've landed thus far. Not only does he have very impressive tape and athleticism, but he recently mentioned in an interview that he's trying to get in Tevon Coney's ear to help recruit him to Miami. It would be a phenomenal haul if we were to land both standout Palm Beach linebackers, though it's worth noting that it sounds like Coney is an early UF lean.

That'd be huge.
