Average of 3.8 if you include the bowl game (5 losses). If we stay on topic, 4.5 for the 4 losses. Our largest margin of defeat in those games is 6 points in OT to SMU this year.

I agree with you in terms of being curious to see how Cignetti does at Indiana in the next few years and I appreciate all the posts that attempt to explain and contextualize his success thus far. However I believe in this situation there is merit in just looking at what he has accomplished in his 1st 2 seasons regardless of who they have played, how many road games they played or how many transfers they took and saying that Curt Cignetti is a **** good coach regardless of when the law of averages catches up to him. What he has accomplished at Indiana in his 1st 2 years has been downright divine.

Miami is now 23-6 in the last 2 seasons. 10-3 in 2024, 13-3 in 2025.

Here is the list of teams who have won at least 23 games in the last 2 seasons, combined:

1. Indiana - 27
T2. Oregon - 26
T2. Ohio State - 26
4. Notre Dame - 24
T5. Miami - 23
T5. Texas - 23
T5. BYU - 23
T5. Ole Miss - 23
T5. UGA - 23

There are exactly *four* programs in America who have won more football games than the Miami Hurricanes in the last 2 seasons.

Mario Cristobal and friends have completely flipped this program to be an annual contender at the top of the sport, exactly as many of us suspected he would.

Miami is back where it belongs, in the absolute upper echelon of college football.

Oh, UiF and FSU have a *combined* 19 wins between the both of them in this timeframe.

Miami is in the best spot they’ve been in 20+ years. Literal fact. If you’re in your early 20s, this is the best the Miami program has been in your literal life.

FSU is in the worst spot of any Big 3 program in 50 years. Literal fact. If you’re 50, this is the most down bad you’ve ever seen fsu your literal life.

UiF, TBD. They’ve spending money, and I do think Sumrall can coach. But they’ve been absolutely awful for the last 5 years. Haven’t won the SEC or a natty in 18 years.

Feels good to be king.
