Crazy thing is...Dre could catch a cold his 1st 2yrs at UM....But talk about a tireless worker from that moment on.....I believe Miami's offensive decline comes from our poor QB and WR play. We had guys like Brown, Perriman and Irvin in the 80's; Thomas, Carrol, Yatil Green, Moss and Wayne in the 90's, Dre in the early 2000's but who have we had since? AR82 looked like a Miami great but injuries sunk him. Bama and UGA have been taking our best wr's and it has to stop.

He wasn't going to start over Wayne or Tana those yrs regardless...Even Andre Brown saw more playing time those yrs...He couldn’t see
Once Coach Curtis Johnson gotta hold of him at UM it was all but over....Best WR Coach UM has had....Went to HS with Glenn Cook and Jon Beason. Andre Johnson's HS WR coach was WR coach there at the time.
He had Andre come by one day. We were in study hall and the coach introduced Andre to Beason. Now Beason ended up being a Miami great and a Pro Bowl LB.
Andre, a WR, made him look like a child. Man shook his hands and it look like he was shaking a child's hands.
Andre is not from this earth.

Loved him....spent many a day talking FB with him before he went to Tulane...I meat Coach Johnson when he was recruiting a cousin to Miami. One of the best people and coaches ever. Whenever the WR position has opened up at Miami, I've always hoped they would bring him back. But I know he had better gigs as a head coach and as the Saints WR coach. But he was a GREAT person.
