BYU w win is 11-1 in a better conference
And has a strong strength of record w like 7-8
Wins versus teams that have winning records

ESPN holds the exclusive broadcast rights to the college football playoffs. They have a vested interest in who gets in the field. I’d venture to say that they do know crap, at least a lot more than any of us posting on an internet message board.
 
Quite alarming there is so much focus on CFP scenarios and not about beating Pitt.

The line has moved down to 6.5 and many out there think Pitt covers. Cold away game and they will be determined to ruin our season. Smells like a classic Mario special.

They will get pressure on Beck and this game is going to be a dogfight. Not to mention the powers that be want to see us fall flat on our face.

The line opened at 6.5 and is 6.5 tonight. This is a ******* message board where we discuss all things Miami football during the week between games. The team, the one that plays the games, is not this message board.

Mario not going on a media blitz tells me he’s controlling what he can control and that’s win the **** game he has this week. 1-0… after Saturday with a win im sure we will see a scorched earth campaign on every media outlet talking about our resume with 4 top 25 wins (at the time)

This is another one of those games where Miami has a sizable talent advantage over the opponent. We should win decisively just like Notre Dame did. Not to praise Notre Dame, but their two losses were to teams with comparable or better talent. We lost our two games to much less talented teams, which is an unfortunate pattern of Cristobal. If we lose to Pitt it’s because we got outcoached yet again. And if that’s the case, needless to say we didn’t deserve to make the playoffs.

i swear dudes keep talking like its a forgone conclusion.

Pitt will not be some beat convincingly game at all....

this will be ther super bowl and they got nough speed on offense to hurt us...and a defense that is opportunistic

This has been my thinking all along. 5 SEC teams seems too many given the parity in the league. I think if it comes down to the ND vs Miami debate for the last spot they may say the fsu loss was the worst and move Bama behind us borh to avoid the conflict altogether. Bama and sec people would be ****ed but the logic is much easier to explain. Would take a poor showing against Auburn and maybe a definitive sec title loss to justify it though. This would be even easier to justify if GT pushed or beat UGA this weekend
