That's so short sided. So you know you can hire Butch and you're interested but you don't do your due diligence and talk to others? And talking to others means Butch isn't getting hired? He's a sure thing, so explore a little bit.

If he's the best coach for you, why not hire him and immediately secure the recruiting class? If Butch is the apple of your eye, and "the only one who can win here", why wait?

Could it be that, gasp, Butch is a solid backup plan?

What the ****?! Benedict Arnold Cristabol left us for Alabama after only spending a few weeks as an assistant. It is nothing but no friggin' class and extremely unprofessional.

He sucked as a HC
He has no OC or DC experience
He has nobody else pursuing him for a HC gig

Last sentence is whats crapping the place up. We're all still jacked up on left over Golden hate but let's try not to turn everything into a war. We know have folks pretending Butch "is not available" for a number of fantastic jobs after being fired from UNC to just to prop their position. Others starting up the "slurper" talk to refer to folks who like Butch or Herman. I'm excited about being a Hurrricane again. Let's have a good time on here again. Bring back the rep system, so we can send "negged" give to each other. On, and more booty pics ...

I may not want Mario as a coach, but I have a hard time blaming him for running to Saban rather than tie his career to Al's tie. And if the money is close to accurate, I doubt there is one "Benedict" name caller who would have done differently.

Oh look...another Mario shill popping up to sell us on the most under qualified coaching candidate to ever grace UM. At least Shannon was a coordinator when he was hired.

The problem with these guys spreading pro Mario propaganda lately is some of the media and fanbase down here who don't do their due diligence actually start to believe Mario is a good fit. These pro Mario people mostly have an agenda or are bias. Mario isn't considered for any coaching gig outside of Miami. He's an average position coach, with decent recruiting abilities wearing Alabama logos. If he wants to be a position coach, maybe I can stomach that, but no way should be considered for HC or HCIW. **** NO!

Who's "he"? Mario? If so, it's a bit pathetic that he'd be sending messages to admin at a Canes forum board....
