Our stable of backs are very good. Jordan is money but quite frankly our receivers suck. Obviously a very big guestion mark for the q.b and let’s not get into the ol.
They’re talented but young. I think all we’re missing is a good wr coach. Hightower will be ready, Harley needs to be used correctly, and the young guys just need a little more size and coaching. Out of Pope, Ezzard and Peyton one if not more should be reliable. Add in Dj, Jordan and Mallory who can all get off the line and make plays, on paper we should be fine.

The pattern I can appreciate here is "adaptability"

As we've all mentioned one of Manny's strongest qualities is changing on the fly but also making good long term changes when he sees the opportunity.

As the HC it's likely he will seek out others with the same mentality and in College football, this can be very important.

I think it's overlooked how much Jaquan and Redwine did for us on D. It won't just "be a loss in the secondary," JJ was our best linebacker on many running plays.

To the posters who are taking the OP as a koolaid post I question your ability to turn on your computers to begin with.

May god have mercy on your souls.

**** 11-1 with this OL and a lack luster 2019 class? Those steroids better be official, and im not putting excuses for the guy but we seem to over rate rosters on this site.
Part of OL problem was Felder. His methods did not get us stronger upfront. Can’t say it enough.

Our receivers do not suck... Most of our really talented guys were sitting on the bench because Dugans played favorites and didn’t turn the playmakers loose, Mark Richt’s play calling never really helped because majority of the time it had the WRs just blocking for inside zone until 3rd and long. The route tree they were working didn’t have more than 5 routes. I guarantee with a better playcaller our playmakers will be able to show what they can do. It’s kinda hard to get open on 3rd&16 when everyone knows you have to pass and the O-Line is not very good

I will say it again 11-1.

Everyone is clamoring for the number 1 OC in the land. You know what 28 points a game on offense had us at last year? That's right. 11-1

Coming in at the elite number of 76 for scoring offense Middle Tennessee State averaged 28 points a game.

What was top 25? Oregon at 34.8.

Look I like Manny Diaz as a DC. I think he came in with a plan and executed his plan. I'm not thrilled with everything he does but he adapts (striker position) and in three years had a top 5 defense out there in-spite of the worst offense I have ever seen take the field at Miami in comparison to the talent available. I also believe the athletes Manny had to work with helped him more than his scheme helped the players. Could I be wrong? Absolutely. That is just my opinion.

I wanted Fedora to be our OC. If it is Applewhite fine. Whoever it is will have more a pulse than Richt ever did along with more talent than they have had to work with in the past. We don't need an elite OC to win games here. Just put our players in a position to succeed and let them do the rest. The #76 offense in the land would have had us at 11-1. What a putrid, disgusting, sack of **** offense we saw on display for me to even type those words.

I digress.

I look forward to seeing who we hire for an offensive staff and how fast they eject Perry from the team.

Striker? You guys are clueless. Manny got you guys Shook on this bull**** Striker position.

News Flash: Striker is nothing but Nickel. When you use a cornerback, it is simply Nickel. When you use a safety some teams call it Big Nickel.

But the end of the day, no matter what you call it, it's the Nickel.

PS Oh, wait...what do you call it when you use a linebacker? I will let you guys figure that out.

We also seem to forget that the QB's did not see the open receivers on countless plays, due to the predetermined reads (that they were taught to do)

This is contingent on our defense being just as good as last years. That's not going to happen. Our D-line has very serious deficiencies and we lost 3 of our best DB's. There is going to be a regression there.

The point is he adapted dumbass.
